Investing in a child's education starts with making sure they're ready to walk through the school doors.

🎉 We’re SO close, Fauquier County!

Take a look at those shelves! Thanks to our incredible volunteers and everyone who has donated new and gently used clothing, our new Re*****on location is almost ready to start packing complete wardrobes for local children in need.

We’re hoping to start distributing clothing NEXT WEEK — but first, we need your help filling some of these empty shelves!

🚨 Our most urgent needs right now:

👖 Boys’ pants — sizes 3T–16 youth
👕 Boys’ & girls’ pajamas — sizes 3T–16 youth

And while those are our biggest gaps, we need ALL boys’ and girls’ clothing! Please clean out those closets and send us your new and gently used kids’ clothes. Every shirt, pair of pants, sweatshirt and dress helps us build a complete wardrobe for a child.

Being a good neighbor means looking out for the children and families right here in our own community.

The children who receive Boxes of Basics wardrobes live in our neighborhoods. They attend our local schools, play in our parks, and are growing up alongside our own children.

Through our GEM monthly giving program, just $12.50 a month can provide a local child with a seasonal wardrobe filled with clothing chosen to help them feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. 👕✨

Give those outgrown clothes a new purpose! 💙 Boxes of Basics has 30+ convenient donation drop-off locations across five counties, making it easy to pass along the gently used clothes your kids have outgrown and help another child in our community.

📦 We accept new and gently used children’s clothing, sizes newborn through youth 16.

Your donations help us provide local children in need with seasonal wardrobes filled with quality clothing they can feel comfortable and confident wearing.

A huge thank you to the lovely women of Soroptimist International of Woodbridge for donating their thoughtfully created Go With the Flow Kits for the older girls we serve.

A girl’s first period can come with plenty of uncertainty, and these kits were created to provide more than just the supplies she needs. They’re designed to offer preparedness, reassurance, confidence, and dignity during an important milestone in her life.

We love the message behind them: What’s happening to your body is natural. You can ask questions. And you are not alone.
