Good Evening Neighborhood Leaders,

I hope this note finds you all well and coping the best you can with our nationwide health crisis. Please share the following Press Release with your families, neighbors, and community networks.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA... Due to evolving concerns related to COVID-19, Prince William County closed all government buildings to the public as of 5 p.m. today, Thursday, March 19, 2020, until further notice. The courts, clerks and related judicial administration locations and services are open in accordance with instructions from the Virginia Supreme Court. Public Safety services are operating normally.

While county buildings are closed, county employees will continue to report to work or telework if available,
and departments will remain open for business virtually. The public will be able to contact departments by
phone and e-mail. Those seeking to do business with the county should do so remotely online, by phone or
through the mail, or delay any business that requires in-person interaction with county employees until a future date. The county is closely monitoring the status of COVID-19 to determine when county buildings can be safely re-opened to the public.

A list of online services can be found at emergency.pwcgov.org/online.

As of March 19, 2020, public health officials have noted evidence of community transmission of COVID-19 in parts of Northern Virginia. Local governments in Northern Virginia have already taken a number of actions to promote social distancing and protect those at increased risk for severe illness.

Individuals are urged to wash hands frequently; stay home when sick; avoid close contact with those who are sick; cover coughs and sneezes; maintain at least six feet of personal space whenever possible; avoid crowded areas and non-essential travel if you are over age 65 or have a chronic medical condition; and follow local government guidance.

Infectious diseases do not respect boundaries. Each individual is a critical part of slowing the spread of COVID-19, in addition to government action at the local, state and federal levels.

For more information about the COVID-19 coronavirus and how you can help protect yourself and those
around you, visit pwcgov.org/emergency. Additionally, the Prince William Health District has established a call center where residents, businesses and healthcare providers can get information related to COVID-19.

The phones will be staffed seven days per week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can call 703-872-7759.

Virginia residents can also call the Virginia Department of Health public information line at 877-ASK-VDH3
for questions about the novel coronavirus situation. If you have chest pain or shortness of breath, call or
text 911.

Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us share vital information within our communities!

Stay Safe & Be Well…

My name is Rebecca Chen and I would like to take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself. I am the owner of the new Goddard School located on Dumfries Road in Manassas. Goddard has approximately 520 schools across the country and we are proud to have opened one of the newest schools in our area. We provide care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. We are more than a typical daycare; we are committed to providing the highest quality preschool experience for the children in our community. Our unique nurturing approach and curriculum will give children the opportunity to develop into joyful, confident learners who are prepared for success in school and in life.

Now that our doors are open and children are enrolled, we are looking to spread the word to everyone in your HOA with an open invitation to visit and tour our school. They can call ahead or just drop by when it is convenient. We are currently offering a special promotion of 50% off the first month’s tuition for new starts. I would love to stop by to drop off some brochures and speak with you further.

We are excited to be featured in a story on Patch.com. Here’s the link if anyone is interested in reading the story.

I hope to hear from you soon!

🗑 Trash Pick-up Reminder:
Effective immediately, there will no longer be a collector riding on the back of the truck to pick up the bins. Instead an extension from the truck reaches out to the bin (the rod on the front) and dumps the trash into the truck.

So, everyone needs a bin with the rod on the front of the bin. If yours is broken, please reach out to Patriot or the HOA for assistance in getting you a new bin. In addition, trash bins must face out to the street in order to be accessible to the truck.
