ELDER CARE RESOUCE FAIR

The Manassas City Police Department will host the Elder Care Resource Fair designed to educate and promote wellness within the elderly population and their caregivers. The event will take place on May 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Manassas City Community Center, located at 8750 Sudley Rd, Manassas, VA 20110.

This is a community-focused event that will bring together a wide range of local organizations, service providers, and experts dedicated to enhancing the health, safety, and quality of life for the elderly population. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect directly with representatives offering services such as healthcare support, housing assistance, legal guidance, financial planning, transportation, and wellness programs.
In addition to the informational tables, the event will feature special presentations on the Strategies to Help Families Prevent Elder Abuse, Tools for the Dementia Caregiver, The 5 Bridges to Wellness Workshop, and Property Alerts: Your First Line of Defense Against Fraud.

The event is open to the public, and caregivers, family members, and seniors are strongly encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees will have the chance to ask questions, gather materials, and build connections with local support networks.

CHILD STRUCK – DRIVER FLED.
The Manassas City police are asking for the public’s assistance where a 10-year old boy was struck and injured; the striking vehicle fled the scene.

On March 19, 2026, Officers responded to the intersection of Dumfries Road and Winterset Drive at 4:57 p.m. for a pedestrian struck crash. Witnesses stated that a young boy had been riding an electric scooter across Dumfries Road, when he was struck by a Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling northbound on Dumfries Road. The child was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. Next of kin was notified.

If you or someone you know traveled Dumfries Road between 4:50 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on March 19th, please review your dashcam footage and contact Master Police Officer Kerri Heiderman at 703-257-8178 or [email protected] with any information.

WHERE IS THIS GUNMAN?

At 8:20 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2024, there was a fight at the Taco Baja restaurant at 9043 Liberia Avenue in Manassas. The fight spilled out into the parking lot where Manassas Police believe that Orlando FIGUEROA DE LLEGUAS, nicknamed Suegro shot two of the people outside. The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

FIGUEROA DE LLEGUAS was seen fleeing the scene is a two-colored pick-up truck.

Police have obtained felony warrants for the arrest of FIGUEROA DE LLEGUAS charging him with 2 counts of Aggravated Malicious Wounding, 2 counts Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Carrying a Concealed Weapon Without a License.

The Manassas City Police are asking for the public’s assistance in helping with the capture of 61 year-old Robert L. OSBOURNE.

Osbourne is wanted on numerous charges to include Possession of Schedule I/II Illegal Drugs, Failure to Appear in Court for Petit Larceny, Larceny of Vehicle Parts, and Providing False ID to a Police Officer.

DO YOU HAVE VIDEO/INFO ABOUT A FATAL AUTO CRASH

On July 26, 2025, at 6:05 p.m., Manassas City Police officers responded to the intersection of Ashton Avenue and Godwin Drive for a two-vehicle crash.

Officers found two vehicles with significant damage. Two individuals from one vehicle were transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The sole occupant of the second vehicle was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The deceased was Earline Steward age, 72.

The investigators for this case are requesting assistance from the public in obtaining any dashcam footage that may have captured the accident or any driving behavior leading up to the crash.

The vehicles involved were a Grey in-color Kia Forte and a white in-color Ford F550 pickup truck.

TWO JUVENILES SHOT: POLICE ASKING FOR INFORMATION

On July 12, 2025, at 1:17 a.m., officers from the Manassas City Police responded to the area of the IHOP restaurant at 8785 Centreville Road and the Super 8 motel at 8691 Phoenix Drive for reports of shots fired.

Officers located two juveniles suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers began life-saving measures and summoned rescue personnel to the area. One victim was transported to a hospital and was reported to be in stable condition. The other victim sustained minor injuries and was released at the scene.

Officers and Detectives interviewed several individuals and identified several people of interest.

Surveillance photographs of potential suspects, as well as a suspect vehicle, a gray, two-door Honda Civic with Virginia “Don’t Tread on Me” license plates have been released.

WHO IS THIS MAN? POLICE NEED TO KNOW

On Sunday July 6, 2025 at approximately 5:52pm, Manassas City Police officers were dispatched to “Mikes Kwik Mart” at 9642 Grant Avenue in the Georgetown South Shopping Center for a report of a physical fight.

The suspect pictured here is a Hispanic Male approximately 50 years of age, 5’9’’, black hair, wearing a gray shirt, dark colored pants, and black and white baseball cap. After assaulting the victim, the suspect ran from the scene towards Wellington Road.

If you know his identity, and your information leads to his arrest, you would be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. You never give your name – just your information.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 6:12am, the thief entered Meridian Landscaping at 9419 Prince William St and stole two short grass trimmers and an on-the-back leaf blower, valued at $1,300.

The suspect is a white male, wearing a baseball cap, dark colored t-shirt, grey pants, and blue shoes. If you can ID this person, and your information leads to an arrest or the recovery of the stolen items, Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000.
