DAV Prince WM County Chapter 15

10/06/2026

National Hispanic Heritage Month runs September 15 through October 15. Hispanic Americans have served in every U.S. war since the Revolution, and today make up one of the fastest-growing populations in our military and veteran ranks. To Virginia's Hispanic veterans: your service, your leadership, and your heritage make our Commonwealth — and our Department — stronger.

Dear Members,

On behalf of Chapter 15 Commander Miguel "ACE" Acevedo:

As we prepare to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit that have defined our nation since its founding.

For two and a half centuries, Americans have answered the call to serve, defend freedom, and preserve the liberties we cherish. As members of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 15, we are part of that proud legacy. Each of you has worn the uniform, fulfilled your oath, and made sacrifices on behalf of our nation. Your service is woven into the story of America's first 250 years.

This Independence Day is more than a celebration of our nation's birth—it is a reminder that freedom has always come at a price. We honor those who came before us, remember our fallen brothers and sisters, and recommit ourselves to supporting the veterans who continue to bear the visible and invisible wounds of military service.

On behalf of the leadership of DAV Chapter 15, thank you for your service, your commitment to our fellow veterans, and your dedication to strengthening our chapter and our community.

May you and your families enjoy a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day as we celebrate America's historic 250th birthday.

Happy Independence Day, and God bless the United States of America!
