OPSEC IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY
As Blue Star Mothers, one of our most important responsibilities is protecting the service members we love. That protection doesn’t stop at supporting them—it also means being careful about what we share publicly.
Think before you post.
Never share: Deployment dates or timelines
Locations or movements
Mission details or travel plans
Photos showing sensitive unit information, equipment, or movements
Real-time locations or identifying information about service members
Information that could reveal where a service member is or what they are doing
Even information that seems harmless can be combined with other details to create a serious security risk.
Please also be cautious of unfamiliar profiles or people asking questions they should not be asking. If something feels questionable, do not engage, answer, or provide information. Report it to the group administrators immediately.
Our service members trust us to help keep them safe. Their missions, their families, and their fellow service members depend on all of us doing our part.
