✨ Starting the New Year with Hope ✨
As families step into a new year filled with both hope and need, MATCH UP is proud to stand beside them—one essential at a time. 💛
This week, our Co-President Zaib Zahir delivered diapers to Catholic Charities, one of our most trusted partners in supporting families with infants and young children. Through this partnership, diapers reach parents who are working tirelessly to care for their children while navigating financial hardship, housing insecurity, and new beginnings.
At MATCH UP, we believe that access to basic necessities is foundational to maternal and child health—and that no family should have to choose between dignity and survival.
Here’s to a new year rooted in compassion, community, and care. 🤍

MATCH-UP was excited to join The Refuge Utah for their Walk for Hope. The Refuge Utah is an organization devoted to helping people who are dealing with domestic violence and abuse. This event was aimed to raise awareness and grow a community of survivors through inspiring speakers, fun activities, and stories of survivors.
We are so thankful to The Refuge Utah for including us in this amazing event and for all the service they give to this community.

📚✨ Matchup is proud to partner with Casa to bring a Little Free Library to their Multicultural Center in Woodbridge!

Kids can “take a book, share a book” — with age-appropriate reads for elementary & middle schoolers. Every book sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and grows a love for reading! 🌟

We kicked things off with 3 boxes of books 📦📖 … and we’d love YOUR help! Donate gently used children’s books. We’ll even pick them up — just DM us! ✨

MATCH-UP got the opportunity to continue our partnership with CASA by joining their Dental Workshop. As part of MATCH-UP’s dental initiative, co-presidents, Zaib and Salma, along with MATCH-Makers Zahra and Nikta helped hand out dental kits to those who would benefit from them in CASA’s community. 🦷🪥

📦 Packed with Purpose:
MATCH UP Supports Back-to-School Success

Youth Promise Collective and MATCH UP were delighted to work with CASA on a new campaign to get school supplies to students in Prince William County for the new school year.

Especially in the current political climate, students who are children of migrants may not be able move about in their communities as safely to obtain these resources. Furthermore, organizations like CASA have lost their ability to extensively support students. Despite this difficulty, there was still a determination to help. Working with CASA, we assembled backpacks full of notebooks, binders, and stationary for 5th grade students to help get them organized (and excited) for the new year. The backpacks will be distributed to families that work with CASA.

By providing students with these resources that they might not have had access to otherwise, we hope to help them achieve their academic goals, as well as empower them to strive for their goals as the shapers of tomorrow. Here’s to a great school year ahead!

MATCH UP Expands Mommy-and-Me Baskets to Trujillo, Santo Domingo, Peru!🧺💙
We are beyond excited to share that MATCH UP’s signature project—Mommy-and-Me baskets filled with postnatal essentials has now expanded to Trujillo, Santo Domingo, Peru! 🎉
Thanks to the dedication of MATCH Makers AnaMaria and Wilson Del Aguilar, we are now serving even more under-resourced mothers and newborns in a new location. These baskets provide critical postnatal supplies, offering comfort and care to families who need it most.
At MATCH UP, we believe every mother deserves a safe and supported start to parenthood—no matter where she lives. This expansion marks another milestone in our mission to uplift maternal and child health worldwide.

MATCH UP Expands Its Reach: Promoting Healthy Smiles in Chennai! 🦷✨
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of MATCH-UP’s new dental hygiene initiativein Chennai, India, spearheaded by MATCH Maker Zahra Ibrahimkhil and MATCH UP Vice President Zaib Zahir!
This past week, over 25 low-income mothers and young children residing at Ashraya, a residential women’s shelter, received toothpaste, toothbrushes, and floss supplies—along with a hands-on workshop on proper dental care and the importance of oral hygiene.
For many families, access to basic dental care is a luxury, yet oral health is vital for overall well-being. Through this initiative, Zahra and Zaib ensured that these women and children not only received essential supplies but also gained the knowledge to maintain their health long-term.
We also continue to provide diapers to the most needy moms and babies in these areas.
At MATCH UP, we believe in uplifting communities through practical, sustainable solutions. This initiative is just one step in our mission to support maternal and child health globally—and we’re so proud of our team for making it happen!

📢 MATCH UP at Benton Middle School’s Heritage Night! 🌍🎉
Last week, MATCH UP was proud to host a table at Benton’s Heritage Night, celebrating cultures from around the world and showcasing our own global impact! 🌎✨ With MATCHMakers Deen and Emily leading the charge, we shared our initiatives and connected with our community in a truly meaningful way.
From India to Venezuela, Ghana to Nepal, MATCH UP continues to expand its reach, providing critical resources to underprivileged families worldwide. At Heritage Night, we highlighted some of our key programs, including:
🍼 Mommy & Me Baskets – Supporting new moms with essential supplies 📞 Diaper Hotline – Ensuring families have access to necessary care items 📚 Book Drive – Promoting literacy in underserved communities 🦷 Dental Hygiene Kits – Providing oral care essentials to those in need
It was an incredible night of cultural appreciation, meaningful conversations, and shared commitment to making a difference. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and supported our mission! 💙
