About Us
Friends of Manassas City Library (FMCL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports the Manassas City Public Library (MCPL) and promotes lifelong learning in Manassas City and surrounding committees. FMCL extends our library’s capacity through dollar gifts, volunteer, and program support, and through advocacy. OUR STORY
In the summer of 2020, a group of concerned citizens in Manassas City formed the Friends of Manassas City Library with the encouragement and approval of Manassas City Public Library and the City of Manassas. Our goal was to facilitate our City library to become a hub where people of all ages can gather, work, learn, and engage with a variety of resources. The FMCL was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) a year later.
