On Sunday, 22,000 walkers came together at the Silver Lake Lot for the 30th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Point Pleasant Beach walk, and all we can say is WOW. You brought the passion. You brought the fun. And most of all, you brought the HOPE to ending breast cancer as we know it, for everyone.

Thank you to every single person who showed up to walk with us on such a beautiful fall day! Together we raised $1,100,000 and we’re not stopping there. Our website will remain open and active through December 31, 2024, and some fun post-event challenges will be announced very soon. Donations can be made online at MakingStridesWalk.org/PointPleasant, via our ACS FUNdraising app or mailed (address listed on website).

Every dollar we raise not only funds lifesaving breast cancer research for the future, but also helps the American Cancer Society ensure that no one has to feel alone at any point on their cancer journey. We offer cancer information 24/7, transportation to treatment, and a place to stay when your best hope is far from home - all thanks to you and others who invest in our mission.

We’ll be sharing more event photos from the AJH team on social media in the coming days, and we’ve loved seeing your Strides pics on social since Sunday. Keep on sharing using .

With hope and gratitude,

Kayla, Keri & Stacy

Today is the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month so we want to encourage everyone to get screened!

1 in 3 women are not getting screened for breast cancer. For the love of tomorrow and every day after, let’s change that.

Regular breast cancer screening can help catch cancer early when it may be easier to treat - giving you more time for what’s important

Share this post and find a screening provider near you at cancer.org/getscreened

The Ocean County Vocational Technical School Medical Assistant Program of 2023 baked and sold many, many cupcakes in the month of October and came in SECOND in our annual School Challenge raising a whopping $4,048! Guided by their advisor, Irene Malfitano, the Medical Assistants really showed their grit, tenacity and support of our mission. No stranger to Point Pleasant Strides, their continued support means more access to care, more information to those that need it most and most importantly more research so one day nobody will have to hear the words “you have cancer”. We can’t thank them enough for all their hard work towards ending cancer as we know it, for everyone. THANK YOU OCVTS
