Join the MODC's Health & Wellness Committee next month to learn how AI will impact the future of cancer.

Join us as Alexander Itskovich MD, a regionally known hepatobiliary, pancreatic cancer and advanced gastrointestinal surgeon, talks about how AI is reshaping cancer research and treatment.

He has been the medical director of oncology services at Statesir Cancer Center at CentraState Healthcare System, a partner of Atlantic Health, since 2021. Board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and fellowship-trained, Dr. Itskovich, in his clinical practice, specializes in treating diseases of the liver, pancreas, bile duct and gastrointestinal tract. He has extensive experience with highly complex procedures including HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy) and performs minimally invasive surgery utilizing the da Vinci Robotic System.

Join the MODC's Ocean ELC Committee NEXT WEEK for our one-year anniversary as we welcome a local politician to speak with our members! This month, attendees will have a chance to speak with Assemblyman Paul Kanitra.

A New Jersey Shore native, Assemblyman Paul Kanitra (R) was elected to represent New Jersey General Assembly’s District 10 in 2024 and actively serves on the following committees:

· Children, Families and Food Security
· Public Safety and Preparedness
· Telecommunications and Utilities

Assemblyman Kanitra’s career office positions have included Mayor and Planning Board of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, and Field Director, U.S. House of Representatives. Assemblyman Kanitra is a graduate of Texas Christian University and owns LobbyIt.com LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm.

👻 Get a behind the scenes tour of some of Six Flags' haunted attractions and mazes along with a live makeup demonstration to see how the actors are turned into the terrifying attractions.

Join the MODC ELC Committee NEXT WEEK on October 9 at ACI Medical & Dental School to speak with Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) Director of Real Estate Development & Marketing Sarah Giberson.

Sarah Giberson is the lead of Fort Monmouth’s Real Estate team, serving as the Director of Real Estate Development & Marketing. For the past eight years, Sarah has managed FMERA’s investor and developer attraction, selection, contract negotiation and project management processes. Sarah oversees FMERA’s governance and communications functions and serves as FMERA’s public relations liaison. She also serves as a Board member of The Jersey Shore Partnership.

Sarah is a graduate of Lehigh University and received her Master’s in Marketing Communications Management from the University of Denver. During her career, Sarah also attended the Kislak Real Estate Institute at Monmouth University and attained a Graduate Certificate in Development & Program Management, also from the University of Denver.

Sarah is also an avid support of wellness, owning and operating her yoga & Pilates studios, Pink Moon Yoga & Wellness and MOONCORE Pilates, located in Brielle, Silverton, and Brick. Previously, she was the co-chair of MODC’s Health & Wellness committee and remains an active member of its Economic Development Committee.

Congratulations to Toby Stark for the launch of his new book "Medicare, You Earned This!" Last week, the MODC was invited to join him at his launch party, where CEO Dana Lancellotti and PR Manager Thomas Watters both got two complimentary books which were signed by the author himself.

The MODC would like to thank Toby and his whole team not only for the invitation, but he has generously offered the proceeds from this event to support the MODC's Education Foundation, which is a non-profit organization providing regional scholarships awarded to students to further their education in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The MODC Ed Foundation’s key mission is to fortify an educated and highly skilled workforce by funding scholarships for mentoring and educational programs.
