This morning we "did a thing" we held a round table discussion with the pantries we support and distributed checks totaling $90,500

We learned some info regarding clientele the pantries handle, we gathered a bit of a wish list, and learned more about some of the incredible things that they do.

Here are just a few items that they would all appreciate:

Cereals (not bran flakes...they get that from another source) preferably kid friendly

Pet Foods

Gift cards for grocery stores to help their clients to purchase perishables.

Personal Care Items - razors, tampons, pads, shampoo, soap,body wash, laundry soap, deodorant, first aid supplies etc.

Seniors make up a large portion of the clients at all the pantries - it is estimated 12%of NJ Seniors are food insecure. So the following items would be extremely helpful
Ensure / Boost type Drinks
Adult Diapers - Pull Up type
Denture cleansers
Bed pads
Vitamins

Another area that presents an issue is those in need of Specialized Foods. Gluten free, low salt, sugar free, and organic diets...the pantries would like to help everyone but need donations of non-perishable specialty items as these are not offered by their other suppliers.
