HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.
Closing at 4 today, and will re-open Monday 8am. So no calls, texts or emails till Monday as we I need this time to prepare for the annual “TOYS for KIDS Christmas Party” December 19th. Let’s all pitch in as always for this Community event, a one of a kind “CHRISTMAS BLOCK PARTY” exemplifying why Mamaroneck is nicknamed “the Friendly Village”.

So many who have celebrated the Holiday Season at this party have said they felt a sense of Joy and Happiness bringing back memories of this time of year remembering it truly being the “Most Wonderful Time of The Year”, something we all have to remind ourselves of today as life has become more hectic. At our TOY for KIDS Christmas Party this year I’m honoring my devoted right hand best friend, office manager/medical assistant Mrs Nancy Fanelli “MS” who we all love and without whom I could not practice. She has been a Saint to us all in many ways, giving up practically all of her free time volunteering & going out of her way not only to help me keep my patients healthy but also supervising so many community outreach programs that she & I have done together for years (notably the volunteer time Nancy puts in on work that enhances the quality of life in our Community like St. Rita’s Free Medical Clinic and this Christmas Party.
And I also honor my other best friend who I miss so much, especially this time of year, Nat Picco the man, GOAT🙏❤️🙏 RIP, I miss you brother. Nat always, like his father before him and now his son, Nat Jr. have always freshly painted and decorated our building for all to enjoy every Christmas. TOYS for KIDS also honors Mrs Vicky Picco & the entire Picco family this year, all of whom are like family to me and for all of us, always doing much more at their own expense for all of us to enjoy especially during the Holiday season each year. All who live in the area have passed my building this time of year so magically light up by Nat Picco. As one of America’s Finest, our Policemen, pointed out to me one year, telling me to turn around as we were directing traffic “Look, Kevin., the building looks like one of the stores you see along 5th Avenue in Manhattan”. Well with Christmas music playing loudly and people walking past the building viewing twelve Santa’s waving from all windows upstairs and down, a forest of Christmas Trees all lit up behind them, the building all dressed up with wreaths and lights lit, my friend, Officer George, was right, it did and does look like a store that belongs along 5th Avenue at Christmas Time largely thanks to the Picco Family.
As we always felt in times past our Police and Firemen who risk their lives every day to keep us safe join us all at this celebration making all feel happy and safe at this “Community Holiday Christmas Street Party” ONE OF A KIND each year. So come all yee who want to experience something happy and joyful this tear, all joined together as one in the spirit of the holidays along with town workers, neighbors. our government workers, schools organizations and often some of our elected and appointed officials, showing all just why we call Mamaroneck, the FRIENDLY VILLAGE, now proudly showing off one of the most beautiful waterfronts you’ve ever seen along the entire East Coast since reconstruction took place this year opening up what I’m sure will put Mamaroneck on the map as one of the most beautiful places to visit and so close
to Manhattan, one of the most beautiful places to live. For opening up that spectacular view as you arrive at the Harbor I’ve decided next year if all agree to return to doing THE TOYS FOR KIDS CHRISTMAS PARTY ON A SATURDAY DURING THE DAYTIME FOR ALL TO ENJOY SEEING THIS GORGEOUS TOWN IN DAYLIGHT. And many more children and families in need are able to make it when I hold this event during the daytime on a weekend rather than during the week. Nay or Yay? Anyway

Up to three thousand children have shown up to Dr. Maloney's Annual Holiday Party so we need toys.
By the support of Dr. Maloney's patients & over 45,000 social media followers and communities from all over, "THOUSANDS" OF NEEDY CHILDREN AND ORPHANS IN NEW YORK, RECEIVE A LARGE BAG FULL OF NEW TOYS AT THIS HOLIDAY PARTY WHICH SERVES FOR MANY AS "THEIR CHRISTMAS" every year.

St. Rita's Annual Christmas Party At Dr. Maloney's RAIN DATE
The first 100 Families to EMAIL [email protected] will be given a time to come for gift.
After discussion with authorities due to the current surge in Covid Dr. Maloney has to consider the safety of all in handing out these gifts. Nancy, Dr. Maloney's office manager can tell you that he just spent 29 minutes on the phone with a healthy 47 yr old man, at home, alone, with no comorbidities. Keeping him from passing out and literally dying, Dr. Maloney slowly encouraged him to get up from his bed, sit in a chair, inch by inch move to his door to unlock it and wait to buzz in EMS. It was an agonizing 29 minutes. Please pray for this man that he makes it (he has Covid Pneumonia and delayed seeking treatment thinking he could fight it off himself).

These families will be given a time to come to Dr. Maloney's office to pick up the gifts starting tomorrow. Saturday, 12/18. We ask that a parent wearing a mask call the office when you get there (914-381-2091 press O. Have your child or children in your car or on the street outside our office with you, all wearing masks. The parent will be told to come in to the office. Times will be given out starting tomorrow. PLEASE SHARE THIS SO THAT FAMILIES IN NEED ARE AWARE. Thank you.

Dept. & the Rec Dept. themselves for offering the use of Harbor Island and offering to help with this party again, County & Village Officials AND ESPECIALLY Police Chief Sandra DiRuzza of the Village of Mamaroneck and Detective Bernie McNally & Village of Mamaroneck Police Officer Michael DeCunzo for the time and effort all put into protecting the community on 12/16 by ensuring that there was no large gathering outside Dr. Maloney's office during this current surge in Covid transmission. This is Dr. Maloney, I’m canceling the Christmas party for the safety of all. No party 12/16 7Pm at my office. HELP US OUT & PLEASE SHARE THIS SO THAT CHILDREN & FAMILIES KNOW NOT TO GATHER THURSDAY IN LARGE CROWDS OUTSIDE MY OFFICE, FOR THEIR SAFETY. THANKS.
This morning I spoke with the Mayor, Police and Fire Depts who agree with my decision not to take the chance of spreading Covid. There's a high transmission rate of COVID-19 in Westchester County. I treating more and more "sick" Covid patients every day using Telemedicine. County Executive George Latimer just tested positive after an event. Let’s keep him in our prayers. He's had been a supporter of Saint Rita’s Free Medical Clinic & Christmas Party for years. I just contacted Senator Shelly Mayer who was also going to attend the Christmas Party Thursday. This could turn into a super spreader event as we generally have literally "thousands" of children with their parents crowding together on lines stretching for blocks who start lining up outside my office at 2PM (the party starts at 7 yes!, families line up hours before). No way can we do this. safely. I'm discussing with Village & surrounding police & fire departments of stationing people outside my office early to disperse people so that no lines form & we're thinking of a safe way to get these toys & gifts out (and we will before Christmas). Again, this party starts at 7 PM and people start lining up outside my office for it at 2 o’clock in the afternoon so I hope everyone understands the amount of people that gather (literally never less than around a thousand). As a Doctor with Covid on the rise I can't hold such a huge gathering. My priority is to safeguard the health of our community over anything else. I'll get these gifts and toys out to these families safely with the help of the hundreds of volunteers who are always ready to pitch in when I ask. I'll keep you posted. Dr M
