In Memory of Sergeant Thomas J. Winters

Today, five years later, we continue to honor the life, service, and sacrifice of Sergeant Thomas J. Winters, whose unwavering dedication to the Village of Malverne and its residents left a lasting legacy.

End of Watch: July 3, 2021

For more than 21 years, Sgt. Winters proudly served the Malverne Police Department with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. His commitment to protecting our community and the positive impact he made on so many lives will never be forgotten.

As we reflect at Sergeant Thomas J. Winters Memorial Park, we remember not only the badge he wore, but the person he was—a devoted public servant, respected colleague, and cherished friend.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

If you ever receive a suspicious call, text, or email, don’t let anyone pressure you into making an immediate decision. When in doubt, hang up, verify the information independently, and contact the Malverne Police Department.
