Eddie 9V, fresh off summer sellouts across the country, will light up the stage alongside Ireland’s powerhouse Hermitage Green, who are only 10 days into their U.S. tour.

When I’m playin, a lot of times I completely zone out. Sometimes I freak out. But to fix it I usually find someone in the crowd that is just as lost in the music as me. Usually there a good kinda lost as compared to me. But to focus on someone while they’re havin the best time jammin to us can reset me in a second.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 16, The Chill on The Hill concert returns with Newport' 65, and we've been on our best behavior. We compost. We let someone merge on 202 without honking. We even politely endured a watermelon gazpacho appetizer and said, “Wow, how creative!”

All we ask in return? Clear skies and cool tunes.

Back in July 1965, Dylan plugged in at Newport and history was made. This week, we plug in on the Hill and just like Dylan, we’d prefer not to be booed off stage by lightning.

The Chill on The Hill was electric, soulful, and straight-up unforgettable and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of WXPN. Your love for real music, real people, and real moments showed up big tonight.

Billy Allen + The Pollies lit the hill on fire 🔥 (metaphorically… mostly), and the crowd gave it right back. Vibes were high, hearts were full, and the sound was butter.
