Malvern Area Kiwanis

Malvern Area Kiwanis A local chapter of a world wide organization working to make the world a better place for kids We believe that helping a child helps the world.

Kiwanis is a global organization of member-volunteers working to change the world, one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis members dedicate more than 6 million volunteer hours and invest more than US $100 million annually in projects that strengthen communities and serve children. We help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged and care for the sick. We develop youth

as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research and much more. Working together, Kiwanis members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream and succeed, great things happen! In the Malvern Area, we help the AR Rice Depot's Backpack Program in Hot Spring County to feed hungry children as well as organize canned food drives for the local food pantry. We help local schools with their reading programs. In the Malvern Elementary School, we recognize outstanding 4th grade students who have improved their character. In the Wilson Intermediate school, we recogize 5th grade students who bring up their grades. We are not limited to these outreach programs. It gives you an idea for what we have done in our first year. Come join us on the second Thursday of each month at Noon at El Parian in Malvern! We look forward to meeting you and seeing you help serve the children in Hot Spring County!

The Malvern Area Kiwanis Club is celebrating a major milestone this year—15 years of service to the community. Since its chartering in 2010, the organization has made a lasting impact through countless volunteer hours, youth programs, and community support initiatives.
Founded with the mission to improve the lives of children and families in the Malvern area, the club has become a driving force behind numerous local projects. Over the years, Kiwanis members have organized the annual Kiwanis Holiday Market, Sexy Legs contest, chili cook-offs, trivia nights and more.
“This is a moment of pride for all of us,” said Gretchen Ritchey, president of the Malvern Area Kiwanis. “Our members are passionate about making a difference, and this anniversary reflects years of consistent dedication to service.”
To commemorate the anniversary, the club will host a celebration event on Thursday, June 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chamber Community Room located at 213 West Third Street in Malvern. The event will feature a look back at 15 years of accomplishments.
“We invite everyone to join in the celebration,” said Ritchey.
