October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

And all we can really think to say is…

Thank you, Down syndrome.

Thank you for giving us Sloan.
Thank you for changing the way we see the world.
Thank you for introducing our family to an incredible community.
And thank you for giving us a purpose we never knew we were looking for.

That doesn’t mean we don’t see the difficulties. We see you.

But without Down syndrome, there is no EmpowerU.

What started with one little girl has turned into something bigger than we ever could have imagined.

And we’re just getting started. 💚💚

Growth doesn’t happen by accident. 💪

Our coaches recently came together to connect, collaborate, and make sure we’re continuing to move EmpowerU’s mission forward — creating more opportunities, stronger programs, and an even greater impact throughout our community.

The people behind the mission matter, and we’re incredibly grateful for a team that continues to show up, learn, and push EmpowerU forward together. 💚
