Fund Dreamer's investor and founder Raj Rajkotia was born in India and came to United States twenty years ago.

The year 2013 was a pivotal, life-changing time for Raj. While his teenage daughter struggled with career decisions, he noticed a lot of media coverage about the lack of diversity and women in the work force. Raj learned more about the inequities affecting women and the challenges they face in areas such as business, gender pay equality, education, funding, and opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). This led to the inception of Fund dreamer and its non-profit foundation - a crowdfunding platform for women that is also supported by a passionate community. Raj has dedicated this crowdfunding platform to his daughter and is committed to eradicating inequality in funding for women around the world. Ellie Shapiro is the CEO of Fund Dreamer and she also sponsors girls Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) programs.
