Bryson Fire Update, Friday, October 16.
Sending love, prayers and all our support to all those affected and to our brave Firefighters who are battling this beast.
We wanted to share an update regarding the Bryson Fire and the steps we are taking to keep our Shalom Institute family safe at our Alan D. Leve Campus in Malibu.
As of this morning, the fire is 17% contained, our Malibu campus is not under immediate threat, and we are not under any evacuation orders. However, as we closely monitor the fire and changing conditions, last night we proactively evacuated our animals and the staff members who live on the property. Our Torahs are also safe and secure.
Having experienced the devastation of the Woolsey Fire, we know firsthand how quickly conditions can change. We are taking these precautionary steps now to ensure the safety of everyone in our care.
We are incredibly grateful to the firefighters and first responders working tirelessly to protect our communities. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the fire, and we hope that all those in its path remain safe.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and share updates as needed.
