Just checking in and saying
hello to all the Linwood Seniors!

It’s been a tough winter but spring is in the air! This weekend do not forget to turn your clocks ahead! We got more daylight and warmer weather around the corner!
I wanted to shout out a big Happy birthday to one of our favorite seniors Barbra Motzi! Barbara celebrated her 90th birthday with lots of friends and family recently and she looks beautiful as always!
I still see and speak to our Linwood Seniors treasurer and secretary
Lucille Sullivan! Lucille a truly beautiful person inside and out! We are blessed and grateful to still have many of our Linwood Seniors now over 80 and 90 years young!
We still love ❤️ you and always will!
Another great and beautiful Linwood Seniors and a member our Linwood Senior board is Jean Anthony! Jean is still very active in Malden beautiful and lots of fun! Jean Anthony and Lucile Sullivan-these two ladies gave us many many years on our Linwood Senior board!
Of course I just have to mention our deceased members and beloved always in our hearts and minds,

Ann Madagan and Bill Dempsey! So much fun and laughter always!

Lloyd Marsters , Millie and Norm Lang, many many others!
We all Miss them and think of them often!
My parents Guy and Olympia LaFauci and all the great Linwood Seniors that passed! Lived in Malden-linden years and years- right across the street from the Linden park! People of Linden and Malden always and forever in our hearts!

Looking back just a few short years we have lost many but again have not and will not forget any one of our Linwood Seniors!

I am grateful to everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday yesterday; I truly appreciate the thoughtful gestures from all of you, including the lovely cards, beautiful flowers, kind phone calls, and heartfelt text messages, as well as the nostalgic old pictures and new ones.

We didn’t meet this year but Linwood seniors pay attention to this notice!

Mayor Gary Christenson’s Annual Senior Citizens BBQ will be held on Thursday, August 22 from 12-2 PM at Anthony’s, 105 Canal Street for Malden seniors. Tickets will be required for entry into the event. The free event provides Malden seniors with a fun afternoon complete with food, music and raffles.
Tickets will be delivered to seniors residing in elderly housing. Malden seniors who do not live in elderly housing may obtain tickets at the Senior Center, 7 Washington Street on Monday, August 12 from 9:30-11 AM, and Tuesday, August 13 from 1-2:30 PM. Proof of residency/photo identification is required for tickets.
Tickets will not be available at the door. For more information, please call 781-397-7000 ext. 2004.

Hello Linwood Seniors-
Couldn’t let this day go by without saying Happy heavenly birthday to our beautiful Ann Madagan! We were truly blessed with her presence! She is thought of every day and I speak for all of us and say Ann you are truly missed!

Prominent Maldonian Ann Madigan was recently honored at Hawkridge Delta as the “Linwood Person of the Year” by the Linwood Seniors.

Joanne had a big operation recently and is now out of the hospital and out of rehab!
