What an inspiring week in Copenhagen! 🌍✨
Our International Student Representative Anna Khouri attended the 75th IFMSA General Assembly in Copenhagen, bringing IPPNW’s message to one of the largest gatherings of medical students worldwide and representing the student voice for peace in health curricula.
Around 900 medical students from more than 120 countries came together for an incredible week of dialogue, learning, and connection.
Anna hosted a session on Medical Peace Work, highlighting why peace and health belong together in medical education and how, as future physicians, we are not only health professionals but also advocates for peace. Together with Pauline Gatmaytan, student volunteer at the IPPNW Geneva Office, she also represented IPPNW at the Student Activity Fair, meeting and exchanging ideas with students from across the globe and hearing what truly moves the next generation of doctors.
There were many unforgettable moments throughout the week — from the Gala Dinner celebrating IFMSA’s 75-year history, bringing together alumni across generations, to inspiring closing remarks from Dr. Hans Henri P. Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe.
A week full of inspiring conversations, new friendships, and renewed motivation to work for a healthier and more peaceful world.
Thank you for this incredible gathering — we’re already looking forward to the next one!
