Unfortunately, the MHSA Hunter Show scheduled for September 5th at Oskie Rice Arena had to be canceled due to too low of entry numbers to hold the actual show. But rather than completely canceling, MHSA is offering this Sept 5th Show to be held as a Virtual Show - meaning that riders can still enter by doing a video of each course/class, all from their home barns!
Having this Hunter Show as a Virtual Show would mean that each participating Barn/Rider would just need to set up the full course (pre-designed by MHSA’s Course Designer - contact us to download courses!) and riders would need to ride & video their complete courses & flat classes from start to finish following the detailed instructions listed.
And because of the variables of different Barns setting up each of their own identical course, and the variations of the incoming weather concerns, we are going to allow a longer time frame to allow the riders to set their courses and submit their videos any time from now till next Saturday, Sept. 12th.
Riders will still need to complete the online or printed entry just like they normally would. All Class, Office, & Member fees apply. But No Warm Up Fee is required. Warm Up is up to each rider prior to their actual class videos. Entry deadline is also extended and Entries would just need to be in before the riders do their show videos, anytime from now till 9/12. Entries available on our website at mauihorseshow.com.
This Virtual Show option will allow riders to still be able to ride the fun courses, compete with other riders from our community, show off their horses, receive Class and Division ribbons, and receive MHSA Year End Points for those that are MHSA Members!
We hope this option will be a great way to represent the riders that have worked hard to be ready for this September 5th show and maybe even get a few extra riders that perhaps aren’t ready to trailer out to a large venue, but would like to enter and do Hunter Rounds from their home Barns!
