Thank you to Hawaii Young Healthcare Professionals Hawaii Young Healthcare Professionals (HYHP) for visiting our campus this week!
Our H&l Dogs in Advanced Training demonstrated some of the important skills they are learning such as “tug” to help wheelchair users remove clothing or open doors and drawers, and “hit it” for push plates, light switches, and more.
Our seasoned Community Outreach Program Therapy Dog, Sadie, gave the best “snuggle” to demonstrate some of the ways ADH Hospital, Courthouse, and School Dogs provide a wide range of physical and therapeutic benefits for hospitalized patients, students, kupuna, and so many other vulnerable individuals in our community.
Hawaii Young Healthcare Professionals (HYHP) connects emerging professionals from all areas of health to build strong cross-sector relationships, develop personal and professional capacity, and positively impact our communities for a healthier, happier future. We hope to see you all again soon! 🐾🏥🩺
