Maui Pig Sanctuary The MPS also aims to educate the public about pig welfare and promote responsible pig ownership.

At Maui Pig Sanctuary, we are a registered 501c3 non-profit organizationproviding over 90 rescued pigs with a lifetime of proper medical attention, nutritious food, and abundant love and affection across our two Maui locations in Makawao and Kahului. The mission of the MPS is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pigs in need,
including but not limited to abandoned, abused, and neglected pigs, by offering them lifelong care, medical treatment, and appropriate living conditions.

🚨 VET CLINIC ARRIVAL UPDATE 🚨
We have officially arrived at the clinic and are heading inside right now to get this tiny forest survivor thoroughly checked out by the veterinary team.
He is still wrapped up warm in his blankets, and we are about to get his temperature, weight, and baseline health fully evaluated. This unexpected emergency intake has been a whirlwind, but seeing him under the clinic lights makes every single step worth it.
I am so incredibly grateful to our community for stepping up with your donations over the last two hours to cover his emergency medical care today. Your rapid response is the literal reason we were able to get him straight into a doctor’s hands without a single moment of delay.
We are going to head inside now to let the vet do their work. We will keep you all closely updated on his diagnosis and what the next steps are for his recovery. Thank you all so much for standing by us and keeping this little guy in your thoughts today!

🚨 UNEXPECTED EMERGENCY INTAKE
Look at this tiny face. You’re not gonna believe this, but This little guy was just dropped right at our front gate, completely alone, freezing cold, and soaking wet.
Our neighborhood has been hit with freezing, soaking wet weather and a massive windchill for days. There is absolutely zero chance this baby would have survived another hour out in this storm.
We immediately brought him inside into a cozy playpen under our heat lamp, got him wrapped in warm blankets, and slowly fed him warm electrolytes and goat’s milk to stabilize his system. He is starting to warm up and rest, but he has a long road ahead of him.
This is a critical, unexpected emergency intake. Our sanctuary is completely capped on capacity and we are stretching every single resource right now, but we could never close our gate on a helpless baby.
We could really use your financial assistance to cover his emergency intake vet bill, specialized neonate food, and the overnight generator fuel to keep his heat lamp running through the freezing night. He is going to need around the clock supervision and feeding so I’m signing myself up for those every two hour feeding sessions because it has to be done.
Honestly, this is really hard to take on at this time after all the harsh weather that we’ve had and being in deep recovery mode from the storms,. I’ve turned down three Piglets in the last week alone, but this little guy was driven directly to our gate with no other options.

You asked, and we listened! Starting this week, you can visit the sanctuary every single day for our guided morning tours. You will still need to sign up for the tour starting at 10am.

Come meet our sweetest new additions ... Dolly, Jolene, and Truvy ... along with the rest of our incredible piggies! From tiny piglet zoomies to relaxing belly rubs with our big resident pigs, spending an hour in the pasture is pure magic for the soul.

🐷🤪Do NOT interrupt a queen’s morning tummy rub.‼️
I was trying to capture a peaceful morning clip with sweet Candy when Pua quietly crept in to play with my boot. Candy was absolutely NOT sharing the spotlight. She launched a tactical counter-charge, chased Pua right out of the frame, and bit her tail to secure her belly rub territory! Pua is fine. I couldn’t stop laughing. It was a classic Candy maneuver. I love pigs..🐷 ❤️ please vote for Pua today she needs to rally 6th to 1st in order to to advance Top pets link on Bio..

Good morning
I can’t even believe it’s almost winter. We virtually had no summer—just storm after hurricane after storm and constant rain.🤪☔️
🐷We basically skipped a whole season and went straight into winter prep up here. The pigs slept in as they do on rainy days, just surfacing now..
🐷We are getting ready right before our amazing volunteers arrive to put the finishing touches on the new roof and reinforce everything!
🐷I’m headed to pick up a pallet of feed for the next couple weeks. It’s a little over $1,200. Everything on Maui costs more—shipping, you know.
🙏🐷Our miracle girl Pua just slipped to sixth place and faces elimination in forty-eight hours!

Three years ago today, we said goodbye to Esther. This is the last photo I took with her.

There are still days when it’s hard to believe she’s gone. I miss her so much—the everyday moments most of all. Her sounds, her sass, and her smile. For all the extraordinary things that happened because of her, being her best friend was always the best part.

Then someone visits the farm for the first time or tells me how she changed their life, and I’m reminded of how much of her is still here: in the animals who are loved differently because people knew her, in the friendships made through her pages, in the smiles that still appear on our faces when we think about her, and in so much of the work we’re doing today.

Thank you for loving her with me and for continuing to live by the message she shared. Kindness is magic, and smiles can change the world.
