I am so very grateful for the many who have, and are, partnering with us for our SistahGurl Virtual Summit! Your partnership has taught me the value of relationships and has inspired me to become a better partner with others in ministry.

As I sit at my desk working through my to-do list, my headache intensifies. I trust God and know things will get done, but there's just so much to do. As I pause and gaze out my window, I ask myself, "What's really important?" Empowering, Equipping, and Encouraging women is important; it's my passion. Helping women understand who they are in Christ and God's plans for their lives fuels my spirit.

However, sharing the Gospel so that all may know Christ is much more important. Today's world events point to the imminent rapture of the Church. There is nothing left in biblical prophecy that needs to happen for Christ to call those who have made Him Lord home to heaven. On that day, Believers in Jesus Christ will vanish from this earth, while those who did not believe and live their lives for Him will be left behind. No, I'm not trying to scare you; I just want to inform you.

Though the team and I have poured our hearts, hands, and souls' prayers into making our SistahGurl True Women Virtual Summit transformative for you, it means nothing if you do not know Christ and miss heaven.

So, SistahGurl AND BruthaMan, I implore you today: give your life to Christ; don't wait for tomorrow; tomorrow waits for no one.

It's easy… say this prayer in your heart, and when you are done, simply type I PRAYED IT!

Father, thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins. I admit that I am a sinner in need of a Savior, so I ask for Your forgiveness of my sins. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. By faith, I trust in Him as my Savior, and I am making the decision to live for Him from this day forward. In Jesus Name, Amen.

As we entered Home Depot the other night, my eyes spocked a white planter for my Hawaiian Palm that I’ve been looking for. It would look perfect on my patio! However, the price tag was way more than I wanted to pay. As I picked up and held the planter for purchase, my husband’s eyes questioned my actions.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Without saying a word, I pointed out a slight crack in the planter, then told him, “They’ll give me 50% off because of the crack; just watch!” He smirked and sarcastically said, “Sure.”

Without being deterred by his smirk and sarcastic comment, I marched my way to the checkout cashier, pointed out the crack, and asked for 50% off. After examining the damage and consulting her coworker, she said, “I’m authorized to give you 10% off. I said thank you, then turned to see my husband’s “I told you so,” eyes staring at me.

Surely, he thought that I’d put the planter down; instead, I said, “She’s NOT the one. She has LIMITED authority and can only give me 10%; I need to find someone with FULL authority and can give my 50%,” and proceeded to make my way to another checkout and a cashier with the authority.

As the first cashier the second cashier, with a name tag that said manager, examined the planter and upped the discount for the slightly damaged planter to 15%.🤣 I kindly replied, after glancing at my husband’s huge smile, “I appreciate the 15%, but because this is your last planter with a crack, I’d like to have 50%.”

As we walked out of the store with my 50% off planter in my arms, we both giggled, him in amazement at my boldness, me at the goodness of the Lord!

I share this story to encourage you to ask and keep asking for the things you desire. God really does desire to grant us the desires of our hearts. Yet, more importantly, I share this story with you to remind you of the same authority you have in Christ. Don’t settle for vices or anything that partially satisfies the longing of your soul. Jesus offers you and me life, and life more abundantly! In Him, we have peace, joy, love, and authority over the wicked one. Take AUTHORITY!

The beauty of the Gospel message is that you and I are invited into a relationship with Jesus just as we are. There is no need for us to change things up or to wait until we get our lives just right. Jesus invites us to come just as we are; as we accept His invitation, He changes us.

Living the new life in Christ is automatic for some, old habits drop like hot potatoes; for others, it takes time. So let us remember to pray and love on those who’ve recently accepted Christ, especially those who are struggling with the temptations of their old life;,they love Christ too.
