Every October, we celebrate individuals with Down syndrome, raising awareness, promoting acceptance, and recognizing the unique gifts, talents, and abilities that make our community so special. ✨

Chance 2 Dance is incredibly proud of our long-standing relationship with the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida (DSACF), an organization whose dedication to individuals with Down syndrome and their families means so much to the population we serve. 💙

We were honored to perform at the 28th Annual Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk on October 10 at Lake Eola Park! It was a joy to celebrate alongside this amazing community and support an organization that shares our commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and creating opportunities for everyone to shine.

Thank you DSACF for your continued partnership and the incredible work you do. We are honored to stand alongside you this October and all year long! 💙💛

We had a blast celebrating the Center for Independent Living’s 50th Anniversary Gala on October 8th! Our Performance Team dancers brought the energy to the stage with “One Short Day” to kick off the celebration and returned with “Good Good Times!” to wrap up the evening’s festivities🌟 A huge shoutout to our Performance Team Director, Lauren Hoefer, for choreographing both incredible numbers!

At the event, we also proudly debuted our brand-new Performance Team logo on our season 11 shirts! We’re thrilled to share this new look as we continue dancing into more exciting performance opportunities this season!✨

Thank you, CIL in Central Florida , for including Chance 2 Dance in this milestone celebration. Here’s to more dancing, more memories, and more “good good” times ahead! 🎶

We are incredibly excited to share that Chance 2 Dance is in the running for Best Charity in this year’s Best of Winter Park!

For years, we’ve worked to create meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities and exceptionalities and believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to dance, perform, create, build friendships, and have their talents celebrated. Our dancers continue to show us what’s possible when people are given the opportunity and support to shine.

We’re proud to champion a more inclusive arts community throughout Central Florida and beyond, creating new possibilities through dance!

Most importantly, this recognition celebrates the incredible dancers who inspire everything we do!!

🗳️ Please vote for Chance 2 Dance for BEST CHARITY!

You can vote once every day through Friday, October 16 at 11:59 PM.

📧 A valid email address is required.

What happens when you finally find a place where you can feel completely free to be yourself?

For Jordan, that feeling comes when she steps onto the stage.

For nine seasons, Jordan has been part of the Chance 2 Dance family, and her passion for performing has only grown stronger. There is something about being on stage - the music, the movement, the energy - that gives Jordan a feeling of freedom she hadn’t found anywhere else in the community before joining Chance 2 Dance.

Since then, Jordan has found more than a dance class. She has found a home away from home where she can be herself, surrounded by people who see her, support her, and celebrate what makes her unique!

When Jordan takes the stage, she shines.✨

For Jordan, performing isn’t just about dance. It’s about freedom. It’s about confidence. It’s about having a space where she can express herself without limits: a simple but powerful reminder of what inclusion can make possible.

Chance 2 Dance is a place where everyone feels safe enough to shine, and feel the freedom to be who they truly are!🩷🩵💛

This is Jordan’s story.

Today, on World Cerebral Palsy Day, we’re wearing our green and celebrating dancers who remind us that there is no single way to be an artist.💚

We believe in creating dance spaces where people are not asked to change their bodies to fit the art but where the ART expands to meet them.

Dance is not defined by a certain body, a certain technique, or a certain way of moving.

Dance is expression. Dance is connection. Dance is joy. Dance is art…because everyone deserves a chance!

Our beloved muse, Kirk, embodied this belief. He showed us, through his own movement and artistry, that anyone, in ANY body, can dance and express themselves artistically. His presence continues to inspire the way we see dancers and the possibilities we create for them.

Today, we celebrate Kirk. We celebrate every dancer with cerebral palsy, and we celebrate all dancers who show us daily that there are infinite ways to move, create, and be seen.

Help us carry Kirk’s legacy forward by supporting the Kirk Legacy Fund; helping create more opportunities for dancers to move, express, and shine in their own way. We’re so excited to introduce another special member of our Season 11 C2D team, Angel Parker! 🩷💛🩵

An Orlando native, Angel discovered her love for dance as a high school student while training under Nicole Warren. Her passion for dance has continued to grow over the years, and she now brings that same love and energy into every class she teaches with Chance 2 Dance.

Angel is currently attending Seminole State College, where she is working toward her degree in Special Needs Education. Her dedication to education and her genuine compassion for others make her such a wonderful part of the C2D community.

We’re so grateful to have Angel returning for her 9th season with Chance 2 Dance! Her high energy, kindness, and heart make a difference in every class, and we’re so happy to have her continuing to share her love of inclusive dance with our dancers!!✨
