We are so excited to have as one of our guest choreographers for Element Earth.
Genevieve Bernard is a choreographer, curator and producer and the Artistic Director of Voci Dance. She earned a master’s degree in dance education from Temple University in Philadelphia and has received awards and fellowships for her choreography.
As Artistic Director of Voci Dance, she works collaboratively with dancers and artists with a focus on site-specific work. Locally she has participated in the Corridor Project, Walk On By, the TrIP Project, the In-Between Series, Orlando Fringe, IMMERSE. As a choreographer and puppeteer with IBEX Puppetry and has set works at Detroit Institute of Arts Museum, Indianapolis Museum of Art-100 Acres, RISD and The New Victory Theater among others.
She was a curator of the inaugural Art in Odd Places Orlando festival, and selected and mentored local, national and international artists with installations, interactive and performance art pieces in a site-specific festival engaging downtown Orlando.
Currently she is the Education Manager at Orlando Fringe.
