❄️ Below freezing, a tent full of shepherds' communities, and two kids seeing their dad's mission work firsthand for the very first time.
This month, MV South Africa director Lloyd Thabatha brought his children with him to Lesotho to encourage a life-changing ministry for shepherd boys who live in the mountains, far from school and home, for months at a time.
Over five nights, in temperatures dropping below -5°C (23°F), more than 50 people gave their lives to Christ. But one moment stuck with Lloyd more than any other: his daughter watching a boy come into the crusade tent limping on a stick, then watching him walk on his own the very next day.
"My daughter was just surprised," Lloyd said. "She kept on saying, 'Daddy, I saw him when he came with that stick. I can't believe God really healed him.'"
His son had a realization of his own after meeting real shepherds for the first time in his life: "I thought shepherds were in the Bible, in the olden days." Now he knows they're not just a Sunday school image, but a mission field his own father drives eight hours to reach.
We love celebrating not only the ministry efforts of our MV family, but the impact it makes on our MV kids too. 🙏
