A moving moment and a powerful tribute. 🇺🇸❤️

Orlando Fire Hockey Club would like to recognize our own Bruce Mace and Anthony Invernessi, for joining Amanda Adams’ family and their team at the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Run.

Amanda was a dedicated Orlando firefighter, a devoted Christian, a loving mother, and the wife of an Orlando Fire Hockey Club member. She passed away from cancer, but the life she lived, the people she served, and the impact she made will never be forgotten.

Amanda was passionate about the Tunnel to Towers Run and proudly participated herself—even completing the run in full gear. Her family put together a team in her honor, carrying forward something that meant so much to her.

The Tunnel to Towers Run also reminds us why we must never forget September 11, 2001—the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the dedicated first responders who answered the call and ran toward danger when others were running away.

We’re proud of Bruce and grateful to Anthony for making the trip from New Hampshire to stand alongside Amanda’s family, honor her legacy, and support a mission that means so much to the first responder community.

We will never forget 9/11. We will never forget those who answered the call. And we will never forget Amanda. ❤️🇺🇸

We’re incredibly thankful our friend Joe Gomez is alive today. Joe, a law enforcement officer and friend of OFD Hockey, suffered a sudden cardiac emergency during the Panthers Warriors 9/11 Tournament.

Thankfully, firefighters and police officers on the ice were trained in CPR, an AED was on site, and they acted immediately.

A special kudos to our own OFD Hockey member Jessica Herman, whose quick actions helped save Joe’s life. Joe calls Jess his hero—and we couldn’t be prouder to have her as part of our hockey family.

Thank you, Lt. McPherson, for your decades of service to the Orlando community and for everything you’ve contributed to our hockey family. Congratulations on an incredible career and a well-deserved retirement! 🚒🏒

The Orlando Firefighters Hockey Club extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, brothers and sisters of Hillsborough Fire, and the Hillsborough Fire Hockey family following the loss of James “Sarge” Sargent.

Over the years, we had the privilege of sharing the ice with Sarge at countless tournaments. Whether we were lining up against him on the ice or catching up between games, Sarge was always a familiar face and a friend within the fire hockey community. His smile, camaraderie, and love for the game are something we will always remember.

Our thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved him during this difficult time.

Our newest Hockey Club members joined veteran club members for the annual OFD Memorial Run, continuing a meaningful tradition of honoring those who came before us.

We’re proud to welcome our new members and grateful to everyone who came out to run in remembrance.

This week, the incredible team from AdventHealth Rothman Orthopaedics (Dr. Epstein not pictured) joined us for a hands-on training session, giving their staff the opportunity to practice safely backboarding a hockey player in full gear.

As the official orthopaedic team for the Orlando Solar Bears and a major sponsor of the Orlando Firefighters Hockey Club, their commitment to athlete safety extends far beyond game day. We’re grateful for their partnership and dedication to ensuring players receive the highest level of care when it matters most.

Thank you to the AdventHealth Rothman team for your continued support and commitment to keeping our athletes safe!
