The winner of our 1st Ugly Christmas Sweater Skeleton Contest to benefit Kings Local Food Pantry is: Drum roll, please THE BENGALS!!
The Popstars took an early lead but couldn’t hold the momentum over the long haul.
The Grisbones started slow but then took the lead down the home stretch only to be edged out by a last-second hail-mary donation to the Bengals.
The Bengals closed out the contest in 1st place with 201 food items/donations!
The Grisbones were a close second with 200 food items/donations.
And last, but certainly not least in our hearts, the Popstars broke the century mark with 108 food items/donations.
In total we took in $178 in cash donations and collected 331 physical food items. We will make our donation drop on Wednesday. WAY TO SHOW UP!
It has been a crazy 20 days. November and December put a lot of weather obstacles in our way. Our skeletons have endured torrential rains, TWO snowstorms, high winds and sub-zero temperatures but you did too!
THANK YOU! It was so inspiring to watch you drive up, place your donations and take pictures. Some even came back more than once to fight for the win for their favorite group.
