Wildcat Spotlight: We would like to take a moment to shine the spotlight Mrs. Amanda Huffman, one of our 8th Grade Math Teachers who does a phenomenal job making math relatable, understandable, and accessible for all students. She has a unique ability to break down complex skills and concepts in ways that help every student feel confident and capable of success. Through hands-on learning experiences and engaging instruction, Mrs. Huffman connects math vocabulary and concepts to real-world situations and other content areas, helping students see the value and relevance of what they are learning. She consistently encourages and challenges her students to reach their full potential, always pushing them to be as successful as she knows they can be. Her dedication, creativity, and belief in her students make a lasting impact in the classroom every day.

Mrs. Huffman's impact stretches beyond the classroom as she also builds positive relationships with her students outside of the classroom by helping with our Girls' Basketball Team as Assistant Coach and planning our 8th grade field trip.

We appreciate all that she does for our school and community!

Wildcat Spotlight: We are proud to recognize Mrs. Tennille Winfield for the incredible support she provides to our students as they work to master the English language. Through her dedication and expertise, she helps students build confidence in their communication skills while also supporting their academic success.
Mrs. Winfield serves students at both our school and the high school, showing a strong commitment to meeting the needs of all learners. She is always willing to step in and help wherever needed, making her a dependable and valued member of our school community.

Her lessons are engaging, meaningful, and designed to connect with students’ everyday experiences, helping them better understand and apply what they are learning. Mrs. Winfield’s patience, encouragement, and passion for teaching make a lasting difference in the lives of her students.

Wildcat Spotlight: We are excited to recognize Belle Wood as she wraps up her first year here at Maiden Middle! While this may be her first year with us, it is certainly not her first in education—and her experience and passion have made an immediate impact on our school community.
Mrs. Wood has been an incredible addition to our Art program, bringing creativity, energy, and fresh ideas into the classroom. This year, she has worked hard to grow and strengthen our Digital Art and Sculpture programs, giving students new and exciting opportunities to explore their creativity in different ways.

Her dedication to her students and her craft is evident in the engaging projects she designs and the supportive environment she creates. We are so grateful to have Mrs. Wood as part of our team and look forward to seeing her continued impact in the years to come!

Wildcat Spotlight: We are proud to recognize Mr. Alec Stewart for the energy and dedication he brings to our Physical Education and Health program. He does an outstanding job of getting to know his students and their individual interests, using that knowledge to create engaging and meaningful activities that keep students active and motivated.

Mr. Stewart consistently encourages his students to do their best, fostering a positive environment where effort, growth, and teamwork are celebrated. His ability to connect with students helps build confidence and promotes healthy habits that extend beyond the classroom.

In addition to his work during the school day, Mr. Stewart also contributes as a football coach, supporting student-athletes and helping them grow both on and off the field. He is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed, making him a valued member of our school community.

We are grateful for the impact Mr. Stewart makes each day!

Teacher Appreciation Week was last week and we wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our parents who sent in snacks and drinks, PTO for providing our teachers with an amazing gift, Cornerstone Baptist and Christina Ramos for feeding our staff, Fire House Subs for providing gift cards, parents who provided gift cards, and to everyone that helped make last week extra special for our amazing staff! We appreciate everyone who helped contribute to showering our staff with gifts, food, and snacks!

Wildcat Spotlight: We are proud to recognize Mrs. Sanders for the many ways she supports our students each day. Whether she’s in the cafeteria or behind the wheel of a bus, she is a constant, caring presence in our school community.
Mrs. Sanders greets students each day with a smile, creating a welcoming and positive start to their day. She is patient, kind, and always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Her supportive nature makes a lasting impression on the students she interacts with.

In addition to her work in the cafeteria, Mrs. Sanders takes on the important responsibility of driving a bus, ensuring that students arrive home safely each afternoon. Her dedication and commitment to student well-being do not go unnoticed.

Wildcat Spotlight: We are proud to spotlight one of our outstanding 7th Grade Social Studies teachers, Mr. Darren Beebe, whose classroom is a place where history truly comes alive. Through engaging, hands-on learning experiences, students don’t just learn about the past they interact with it, question it, and connect it to their own lives.

By making meaningful connections between historical events and the world students experience every day, Mr. Beebe helps our students see the relevance and importance of understanding our past. Most importantly, Mr. Beebe challenges students to think outside the box pushing them to analyze, question, and reflect in ways that go beyond any textbook. His passion for teaching and commitment to student engagement make a lasting impact on our school community. We appreciate all that he does for our students each and every day!
