During our October 15th luncheon, the Lake Mahopac Rotary Club was proud to present $28,500 in grants to a number of outstanding nonprofit organizations serving our local community.

This year’s grant recipients include:
Second Chance Foods, Putnam Community Action Partnership, P/NW Women’s Resource Center, Putnam County Children’s Committee, CoveCare Center, Putnam Communities That Care Coalition , Putnam Arts Council, Putnam Service Dogs, BluePath Service Dogs, Putnam Humane Society, Putnam County SPCA, Prevention Council of Putnam, Pegasus Therapeutic Riding and Putnam Chorale.

These organizations exemplify Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self” through their continued dedication to improving lives throughout Putnam County.

Our annual Election Eve Dinner is just weeks away taking place on Monday, November 3rd, 2025 at the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department @ 6 PM.

Tickets for this fundraising event are $35 in advance or $40 at the door available through our Rotarians.

Please come out and meet our local politicians running for office and enjoy a fantastic dinner prepared by the Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES Culinary Arts students.

The Putnam Department of Mental Health and Office for Individuals with Disabilities is pleased to invite the public to attend the Putnam County Legislative Forum to be held on:

The Legislative Forum is open to the public and will provide an opportunity for individuals with disabilities and mental health needs to speak with their elected representatives about strengths within the county's system of care as well as what is needed.

Members of the community and service providers will be offered the opportunity to make brief presentations addressing needs related to these topics. Additionally, service providers will have the opportunity to address
policy, programmatic, and budgetary concerns currently impacting delivery of services.

Following presentations, you will have the opportunity to briefly address those in attendance and discuss issues brought up.
