At Mahopac SEPTO, we believe every parent deserves to be heard, every family deserves to feel supported, and every student deserves the opportunity to thrive!

Whether your child has an IEP, a 504 Plan, receives additional support, or is in general education, SEPTO is for YOU!

We invite all parents, caregivers, staff, and community members to join us! Come share your ideas, ask questions, connect with other families, and learn how we can work together to make a difference.

Physical Therapist | Mahopac Central School District

In honor of National Physical Therapy Month, Mahopac SEPTO is proud to shine our spotlight on someone who truly goes above and beyond for our students, families, and staff!

Dana is the definition of compassion, dedication, and selflessness. She makes sure her students have what they need to succeed, not just in therapy, but in their everyday lives. From helping families find properly fitting shoes to listening to parents’ concerns and finding meaningful ways to support students beyond the classroom, Dana’s care extends far beyond her role.

And that same kindness extends to her colleagues. Whether someone needs guidance, support, or a helping hand, Dana is always willing to make time for others.

💙 What makes Dana especially remarkable is her strength. Even when facing challenges in her own life, she shows up each day with a smile, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those around her. She gives so much of herself without ever asking for recognition.

Dana doesn’t just make a difference through the work she does. She makes a difference through the person she is.

📣 Mahopac SEPTO's DADvocates are coming together, and we want YOU to be part of the conversation!
Being a dad comes with its own unique experiences, challenges, and victories. Sometimes, the greatest support comes from connecting with others who understand the journey.

Our DADvocates initiative is about creating a space where dads and father figures can connect, share experiences, exchange ideas, and work together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, families, and community.

💙 No experience necessary. No expectations. Just dads supporting dads and making an impact!

Every girl deserves to grow up knowing that her voice matters, her dreams are valid, and her abilities do not define her possibilities.

💚 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 💚

Today, October 10th, Mahopac SEPTO reminds our families, students, staff and community that your mental health matters. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. 💚

We spend so much time taking care of everyone around us that sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves.

Mental health is just as important as physical health. It’s okay to have hard days. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed. It’s okay to take a break, set boundaries and ask for help.

💚 Check in on yourself.
💚 Check in on someone you love.
💚 Lead with kindness and compassion.
💚 Remember that you never know what someone else may be carrying.

You don’t have to be okay every day and you never have to face your struggles alone.

At Mahopac SEPTO, we believe every student, every family, and every individual deserves to feel seen, heard, valued, and supported.

This month, Mahopac SEPTO is proud to recognize and celebrate the incredible physical therapists who make a difference in the lives of our students every single day! 💪✨

Physical therapy is about so much more than movement. It’s about building confidence, encouraging independence, overcoming challenges, and celebrating every milestone, big or small. 💚

Some of the most important people in our district are the ones working tirelessly behind the scenes, and Mrs. LaRocca is certainly one of them! 💙

Mrs. LaRocca wears many hats in her role within our district, yet she always manages to go above and beyond to ensure important information reaches our families and staff in a timely manner.

She has been an incredible resource and supporter of Mahopac SEPTO, helping us spread the word about our events, initiatives, and opportunities to connect with our school community. No matter how busy her day may be, she is always willing to lend a helping hand!

Beyond all that she does, Mrs. LaRocca has an infectious smile and a warm, welcoming personality that make every interaction a positive one. Her dedication, kindness, and commitment to our district make her such a valuable part of our Mahopac community.
