Are you afraid to turn on your heat because of how much it will cost? 😱
EmPower+ is just one program our free advisors can introduce you to at the Energy Expo this Saturday! https://bit.ly/PutnamEnergyExpo26

This program helps low- and moderate-income households save energy and money toward energy improvements, including assessments, air sealing, insulation, heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, and electrical service and wiring upgrades. The program is open to income-eligible owners and renters of one- to four-family households.

💸Have you looked at your electric bill lately?
Actually, maybe don’t. It could ruin your day.
And if you heat your home with oil… well, we’re not even going to ask how that’s going.
With the cost of keeping a home running feeling downright ridiculous, we could all use a few practical ways to make those monthly bills a little less painful.
Join Sustainable Putnam and the Mid-Hudson Regional Clean Energy Hub for Optimize Your Utility Bill, a practical workshop focused on simple, cost-effective ways to make your home more energy efficient.
You’ll learn about programs and resources available to help both homeowners and renters improve energy efficiency.
🌟BONUS: The first 15 people to register AND attend will receive a complimentary Home Weatherization Kit from Sustainable Putnam, filled with practical energy-saving supplies you can put to work at home.

Because electricity is expensive.
Oil is expensive.
Everything is expensive.
We might as well figure out where we can save.

Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley's "Preserving What We Love, Shaping What Comes Next" at Boscobel House and Gardens had us thinking. "Preservation" is an evolving process which should reflect the challenges and opportunities of the time. It requires a diversity of voices and can embrace revitalization and access. Thoughts?
The easy answer is " I love in the Valley "! 🍁🍂🍎

"Putnam Valley 4th graders are sharing their lunch with chickens. Or at least their leftover food scraps. 🐥

Putnam Valley Elementary School fourth graders are saving their lunchtime food scraps in special bins that are transported to a local farm as chicken feed. Jennifer Bruno who teaches in the school’s Innovation Lab and Elizabeth Broas from the school’s Science Lab came up with the program as part of their curriculum."
