Samples are good and the boil order has been lifted!

03/03/2026

The Arkansas Department of Health has issued the 'Boil Water' Notice for the Entire System on March 3, 2026. This order was issued as a precautionary measure because of the possibility that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of a loss in normal system pressure due to the water system stopped pumping water to fix a chlorinator issue but did not turn the pumps back on after the issue was fixed, resulting in the systems water storage tank running dry due to continued use. .

Under the 'Boil Water' Notice, all affected customers are advised that the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one (1) minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.

This Notice will be lifted by the Department of Health when 1 set of 3 bacteriological samples indicate that the water is free of bacterial contamination and an adequate disinfectant level is established throughout the distribution system.

Customers are finally receiving the first bill that was sent on May 5th on TODAY (21 days later)! Please disregard this bill if you have already received one this month. I’m trying to answer all calls and texts but with so many I am getting please help me forward this message along. Only pay 1 of the bills! If you need any clarifications please text/call or message me on here. NO LATE FEES or DISCONNECTIONS this month due to postal service issue.

It has been brought to our attention that most water customers did not receive a bill this month. They were sent on 5/5/22 from Little Rock so you most definitely should have received them by now. I have contacted the office in Little Rock and they were resent today. Please contact me if you would like your bill total but hopefully you will receive your bill tomorrow or Wednesday. Late fees will NOT be applied this month but we ask that you please pay by June 1st (this month only) to avoid disconnection.

We are aware of the water pressure issue. There is a water leak somewhere and it is hard to find right now due to the rain. Please be patient as even the board members are without water. It will be fixed as soon as the leak can be located.

Due to the weather, we have extended the due date for the water bill to Monday, February 22nd by 5 pm. I’ve heard from several customers that their water is frozen. Please keep in mind that the water system is not responsible for busted pipes and you should contact a plumber for any pipe problems from the meter to your home. We hope that no one has this problem though and all water will start flowing without any damage. Stay safe and warm!
