The Magnolia Lions Club would like to recognize and thank Jim Coy for his extraordinary dedication to our stretch-plastic recycling efforts.

Since April of 2021, Jim has recycled stretch plastic from the Waynesburg Farmers Exchange through the TREX recycling program, contributing an estimated 14,000 pounds (more than 7 tons - we did the math, and that estimate is conservative!) of plastic diverted from landfills. That total reflects Jim’s recycling alone.

The Magnolia Lions Club’s success with the TREX program has also been made possible by many community members who regularly recycle with us, and we are deeply grateful for that shared commitment. Through these collective efforts, the Lions Club has earned and placed recycled plastic benches throughout our community.

Even after our TREX quota was met, Jim continued recycling, because environmental stewardship mattered to him. His steady commitment over time reflects the kind of leadership that strengthens organizations and quietly makes a difference.

Your impact will be felt for years to come.

The Magnolia Lions Club continues to collect stretch plastic for recycling and encourages others to join us in this ongoing effort to keep plastic out of landfills.

Jim, thank you for your dedication, reliability, and heart for service. 🦁♻️

Thanks to all the Lions and community members that came out this morning to help clean up state Route 183 between Magnolia and Crossroads. 🗑️🧤🦺

The sun was shining- the weather couldn’t have been better! ☀️

Didn’t make it out to help today? You can make a difference too- clean up your yard, your road, your block or a parking lot- every little bit helps! 🌎

The weather forecast looks beautiful this Saturday- what better way to enjoy it than joining the Magnolia Lions Club and the SV LEO Club in cleaning up state route 183! 🗑️

We will be meeting at Crossroads Restaurant and will commence the clean up at 9am. 🕘

We will have trash bags as well as limited gloves and safety vests- feel free to bring your own. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended! 🧤👟🦺

We have divided the road between Magnolia and SV school into sections. Each team will be assigned a section. ✅

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday morning! Help keep our valley beautiful! 🌅
