We are incredibly excited about this partnership and all the possibilities it creates for the children and families we serve. 💙

One thing we know for certain is that meeting immediate needs is only part of the equation. While Hope Bags help provide comfort and essentials during a difficult transition, creating lasting change requires a community willing to invest in a child's future long after that first day.

That's why we're so grateful for Steve, Amy, and the entire team at the South Baldwin Literacy Council

Their commitment to education, literacy, and creating opportunities for children and families aligns so beautifully with our vision for helping children not only navigate difficult circumstances, but thrive beyond them.

As we continue exploring ways to work together, we're excited about the opportunities to bridge gaps, remove barriers, and create pathways toward brighter futures for the children and families of Baldwin County.

The best community solutions happen when organizations stop working in silos and start working together. We can't wait to see what we can accomplish alongside the incredible team at South Baldwin Literacy Council. ✨ Thank you for having us and letting us tour your beautiful new building!

Yesterday, our team had the opportunity to meet with Foster Kids Matter to discuss ways we can work together to help break the cycle within the foster care system and better support the children and families they serve through our educational services.

We are excited about this new partnership and the opportunity to combine our efforts to make an even greater impact in our community. By working together, we can provide valuable resources, education, and support to help children thrive and reach their full potential.

A special thank you to Amy Schulz and Amanda Jeppson for partnering with us and sharing your knowledge and expertise. We are grateful for your dedication and look forward to all that we can accomplish together.

The future is bright, and we can't wait to see the positive impact this partnership will have on our community!

A little extra love. 💙

Last week, we served Hope Bag #123 of 2026.

It was also Hope Bag #704 since Foster Kids Matter began.

And this one was especially meaningful to us.

Not only did it include the very first pillow and pillowcase we've ever added to a Hope Bag, but it was delivered to a child facing a particularly uncertain few days while waiting for what came next.

When we announced we were adding pillows and pillowcases, we talked about how something as simple as a pillow can become a really big thing during a difficult season. For this child, that timing felt especially meaningful.

Every Hope Bag we provide is packed with intention, care, and prayer. Every child matters. Every bag matters.
But every now and then, there are moments that remind us exactly why we keep looking for ways to do a little more.

A little more comfort.
A little more dignity.
A little more softness during a hard season.

We're incredibly grateful that the very first pillow we were able to provide found its way to a child who needed a little extra comfort during an uncertain time.

As you go about your week, we ask that you join us in praying not only for this child, but for every child entering foster and kinship care. Pray for comfort in the uncertainty, peace in the fear, healing from the hurt, and for loving homes and caring adults to surround them every step of the way.

Hope Bag #704 reminded us that sometimes the smallest additions can make the biggest difference. ✨

A huge shoutout to our friends at Cornerstone Family Chiropractic Foley 💙

Kevin and the entire Cornerstone team are some of the biggest cheerleaders for our mission, and we are so grateful for the many ways they continue to show up for children entering foster and kinship care here in Baldwin County.

Right now, they're hosting a summer clothing drive to help keep our shelves stocked with clothing for the children and teens we serve through our Hope Bag program.

Their goal?

To fill an entire adjustment table with donations!

And honestly, we can't think of a more fitting slogan:

"Help us adjust beyond the office with cool clothes and warm hearts." ☀️👕

From supporting us through their Bloom Festival to organizing drives like this one, Cornerstone continues to prove what community support really looks like.

It's because of partners like Cornerstone Family that we're able to continue strengthening and expanding our Hope Bags, even recently adding pillows and pillowcases to provide a little extra comfort for children entering care.

If you've been meaning to clean out closets, there's still time to help! We are always in need of children's and teen clothing, with a particular need for teen sizes for both boys and girls.

And if you're looking for a chiropractor, go show some love to the amazing team at Cornerstone Family Chiropractic while you're there. Help them help us fill that adjustment table and make sure local kids have the clothing they need this summer. 💙

Thank you, Kevin and the entire Cornerstone team, for being such incredible friends of Foster Kids Matter and for always finding ways to rally this community around its children.

123 Hope Bags served in 2026 already. 💙

123 children met with comfort, essentials, and reminders that their community cares deeply about them during incredibly difficult moments.
And truly, none of this happens without you.

Every blanket.
Every stuffed animal.
Every pair of pajamas.
Every book.
Every new pillow and pillowcase we’re now able to include.

It all comes from people in this community choosing to consistently show up for these kids.

One of the most impactful ways to support that mission is through monthly giving. Even something as simple as $20 a month truly adds up when a community comes together.

Monthly support helps us continue expanding the comfort items and essentials included in our Hope Bags, while also helping us look toward the future, growing programs focused on stability, connection, life skills, education, and opportunities that help children and families build stronger futures before cycles and patterns have the chance to take root.

123 bags down already this year, and because of this community, we’ll keep showing up for every child still to come. ✨

This week we had the opportunity to host a pizza luncheon for our local DHR staff here in Baldwin County. 💙🍕

One thing we take very seriously at Foster Kids Matter is the work happening behind the scenes to make sure children entering foster and kinship care are supported as thoughtfully and intentionally as possible.

That means building relationships not only within the community, but also with the people working directly in child welfare every single day. The reality is, those closest to these situations often have the clearest understanding of the gaps, challenges, and needs children and families are facing in real time.

Having those conversations matters.

It helps us continue strengthening our Hope Bags, but it also helps inform how we thoughtfully grow future programs, resources, and support systems with real insight and intention.

We also had the chance to see the visitation room we renovated last year, and honestly, we’re still blown away by what this community was able to accomplish together. Knowing children now have a space that feels warm, welcoming, and comforting during incredibly uncertain moments means so much to us.

Sometimes the work is Hope Bags.

Sometimes it’s a room that feels a little softer, safer, and more comforting during one of the hardest days of a child’s life.
And sometimes the most meaningful progress simply comes from people sitting down together, listening well, and continuing to show up for the children in our community. ✨

A little announcement we’re really excited about… 💙

We’re officially adding brand new pillows + pillowcases into our Hope Bags for children entering foster and kinship care. ✨

Sometimes comfort looks like a stuffed animal.
Sometimes it’s a soft blanket.

And sometimes it’s simply having a clean pillow to call your own at the end of a really hard day.

As we continue growing, we’re always looking for thoughtful ways to make our Hope Bags feel even more comforting, supportive, and personal for the children receiving them, and we’re so grateful to this community for helping make additions like this possible. 💫

A huge thank you to the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Diplomat Luncheon for having us yesterday and allowing us the opportunity to share more about Foster Kids Matter and the children we serve throughout Baldwin County. 💙

We are incredibly grateful for spaces like this that bring together local businesses, organizations, and community leaders who genuinely care about making a difference right here at home.

It was such an honor to speak about not only the immediate support provided through our Hope Bags for children entering foster and kinship care, but also the long-term dreams we have for creating more stability, opportunity, and support for these kids as they grow.

And truly, this work only happens because of this community.

Thank you to everyone who attended, listened, encouraged, asked questions, and continues to support children and families in foster care. We are so grateful to be surrounded by people and businesses willing to come together for these kids.

A special thank you as well to No Shoes Media & Marketing for the kind words and thoughtful post. We appreciate you all so much. ✨

There are some people who show up quietly, consistently, and faithfully behind the scenes, and ReSale Heaven has been one of those partners for us from the very beginning. 💙

We are beyond grateful for their incredibly generous $4,000 donation, but even more than that, we want to recognize the heart behind their support over the last year.

Week after week, they have continued meeting with us, exchanging donations, and helping us keep our shelves stocked so we can continue filling Hope Bags for children entering foster and kinship care. Long before many people knew who we were, they were already showing up to help serve these kids.

This is exactly what we mean when we say it takes a community.

We may help coordinate the bags, the programs, and the logistics, but it is the people of this community and partners like Resale Heaven Thrift Store Gulf Shores that make this work possible every single day.

Because of support like this, children entering care are met not with trash bags or uncertainty, but with comfort, essentials, dignity, and reminders that their community cares deeply about them.

Thank you, Resale Heaven, for believing in this mission, for walking alongside us from the early days, and for continually showing up for these children in such meaningful ways. We are so incredibly thankful for you. ✨
