Hello,
We are excited that the Madisonville mural has been completed, and it looks amazing! The mural unveiling ceremony will be held Today, June 22nd, at 2:00 p.m., near the mural site.

Last July, when MARI engaged the Texas Downtown organization to send an Assessment Team to Madisonville to help us identify ways to enhance and beautify the downtown area, the team recommended restoring/revitalizing the Coca-Cola mural. Inspired by the recommendation, we made it a priority goal for our organization.

Thanks to Shelby Stallings for initiating contact with Coca-Cola representatives, and to my good friend and Madisonville native Tracy Bennett Viramontes, a Coca-Cola employee of 28 years, for connecting us with the right people to help bring this vision to life.

I would also like to thank Aaron Rogers and Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages for fully funding this project, as part of the “Paint the Nation” mural campaign celebrating America’s 250th birthday. A big thank you also to artist Gabriel Portillo, for creating a mural that perfectly reflects the character and spirit of Madisonville, and to everyone who contributed to make this project a reality. Our community will enjoy this mural for generations to come!

I hope to see you at the mural unveiling tomorrow.

Madisonville, Texas. Please come join us for the unveiling and thank the entire Team that made this happen. This is a project of 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐚-𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐚'𝐬 ℙ𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕥 𝕥𝕙𝕖 ℕ𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 nationwide campaign. Many local citizens were involved to help engage Coca-Cola and work with the artist and agencies on everything from design to timeline to funding.

𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 to 𝑯𝒐𝒄𝒉𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒎 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 and 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 & 𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑨𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚 for their generous donation to MARI. MARI is working on several more projects for 2026 and this will help complete some of those.
