We did it!

By the grace of God, and through the generosity of local businesses and private donors, Nehemiah’s Gate has raised over $1,200 for the ramp project.

We are so grateful for every person who gave, shared, prayed, and helped make this possible. What may look like a simple ramp is actually another step toward preparing this home to serve men who are rebuilding their lives through Christ-centered discipleship.

Thank you for helping us build.
Thank you for believing in the vision.
Thank you for being part of what God is doing through Nehemiah’s Gate.

Many hands truly do make light work.

We want to sincerely thank Joyce Proffitt Smith for connecting us with Ronald Johnson & Associates for their generous $500 donation toward the Nehemiah’s Gate Ramp Project Fund.

It means a lot when local businesses choose to invest back into the community and help support projects that make a real difference in people’s lives. Contributions like this help move the vision forward one step at a time, and we’re truly grateful for RJA Engineering’s generosity and support.

Thank you, RJA Engineering, for helping us continue to build for the community. ❤️

We want to give a huge thank you to Creative Media Grouo for their generous $300 donation toward the Nehemiah’s Gate Ramp Project Fund.

Support like this is more than just a donation — it’s people using their platform, business, and resources to help make a real difference in the community. We’re truly grateful for CMG’s willingness to step in and help us continue building accessibility and support for those we serve.

Thank you, CMG, for standing with us and helping move this project forward. ❤️

Today was a special day at Nehemiah’s Gate.

A group of men came together and gave their time, strength, and willing hearts to help move a large amount of items out of the house. What may look like “just moving stuff” to some is so much bigger to us. Every step forward is helping prepare this place for what God is building through Nehemiah’s Gate.

I’m truly grateful for every man who showed up, worked hard, laughed together, and served with humility. And we’re very grateful of the men from Jireh Restoration Center who were so helpful and happy to serve today. Days like today remind me that vision is never built alone. It takes people willing to sacrifice their time and come alongside the mission.

“Many hands make light work.”
Thank you to every single person who helped today. Your support, prayers, encouragement, and willingness to serve mean more than you know.

We are watching Nehemiah 2:18 come to life right in front of us:
“Let us rise up and build.”

And that’s exactly what we’re doing. ❤️

Many hands make light work.

That’s the picture we see in Nehemiah 3. The wall was rebuilt because people came together, each doing their part.

We are seeing that same kind of community support with Nehemiah’s Gate, and we are grateful. Because of recent donations, we are now down to $815 remaining for the accessibility ramp.

This ramp is one more practical step toward preparing this home for men coming out of incarceration to grow in Christ-centered discipleship, structure, and purpose.

Every gift helps. Every share helps. Every prayer helps.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mother, grandmother, spiritual mother, mentor, encourager, and woman of God who has helped nurture life in others.

Today we honor the kind of love that often goes unseen. The prayers whispered in private. The sacrifices no one noticed. The strength carried quietly. The wisdom spoken at just the right time. The arms that comfort, the words that build, and the faith that keeps showing up.

At Nehemiah’s Gate, we know rebuilding lives takes love, patience, compassion, and spiritual covering. Many of you have carried that kind of mother’s heart — not only for your own families, but for sons, daughters, churches, communities, and people who needed someone to believe in them.

Your love builds.
Your prayers matter.
Your faith leaves a legacy.

From all of us at Nehemiah’s Gate, Happy Mother’s Day. You are seen, loved, honored, and deeply appreciated.

🧱 Help Us Rise and Build

Nehemiah’s Gate is moving forward one step at a time, and right now we have a very practical need in front of us.

We are raising $1,095.00 to help build an accessibility ramp at the Nehemiah’s Gate home.

This may look like lumber, screws, concrete, and handrails — but to us, it represents something much bigger.

It represents preparation.

It represents a community coming together.

It represents a home being made ready for men who are coming out of incarceration and stepping into a new life of faith, structure, discipleship, accountability, and purpose.

Nehemiah’s Gate exists to foster an environment where men can become mighty men of God through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Before that first man ever walks through the door, there is work to be done. Floors, walls, wiring, cleanup, repairs — and now, this ramp.

We believe every practical step matters because every step is helping prepare a place where lives can be rebuilt.

Would you consider giving toward this project?

No gift is too small.
Every board matters.
Every screw matters.
Every dollar helps move this house closer to being ready.

And even if you cannot give right now, you can still help us in a big way:

We’re through the roof!

There is forward momentum happening at Nehemiah’s Gate!

I want to take a moment to acknowledge and extend our sincerest appreciation to Keith Goodman. Keith is a longtime Kentucky electrical contractor with years of hands-on experience in the trade, and he has graciously come out of retirement to help move this vision forward.

Today marked another meaningful step in the process, and we are incredibly thankful for Keith’s willingness to lend his time, knowledge, and skill to Nehemiah’s Gate. Men like Keith make a difference not just by what they do, but by the way they show up when it matters.

Thank you, Keith, for believing in the vision and for helping us build with wisdom, excellence, and forward momentum. We truly appreciate you.

Rise and build.

⚡️UPDATE!!⚡️

We want to give a huge thank you to Khalil Bell for stepping up to help Nehemiah’s Gate wire our new 200 amp panel.

Khalil is currently attending M.C.C. to continue learning the electrical trade, and he is fully capable of helping get this work done. More than that, he was willing to volunteer his time and skill to serve this vision, and that means a lot to us.

Khalil is a good man with a great heart. If you ever get the chance to hear his story, you’ll hear the power of God’s redemption and transformation at work in a real way. His life is a testimony that God is still changing lives, still restoring, and still writing beautiful stories.

We are truly grateful for his willingness to sow into Nehemiah’s Gate in such a practical and meaningful way.

Also, congratulations to Khalil as he prepares to get married in June. We are praying God’s richest blessings over this next season of his life.

Thank you, Khalil. We honor you and appreciate you.

Nehemiah’s Gate is looking for help wiring our new 200 amp panel.

This is a major step forward for the house and for the vision God has given us, but we need a skilled electrician or someone willing to donate time, labor, or support to help us get it done.

If you or someone you know can help, please message us directly.

Please share this post and help us connect with the right person.

If you’re licensed and willing to consider donating your time or giving us a fair quote, we would be incredibly grateful.

This project is about creating an environment where men can rebuild their lives through Christ-centered discipleship.
