Each year about this time emotions start to run wild because we’re so close to the end of the summer youth employment program. The season starts to wear you out, the sun becomes bi-polar with the heat and let’s not get started on the bug bites. But, here we are. Another session coming to an end and we have to get ready to say our goodbyes. This one will be a hard goodbye. This group of kids right here are each one destined to become something great! We’ve got one more full week to go and a lifetime of memories thanks to these young folks.

What a great week. It was time to “Turn—up ” for the summer program. had an amazing launch to the Summer youth Employment kickoff. The Madisonville Team is finishing up the week strong, and the group was able to get some work in at the Bond Hill Location. We can’t wait to show weekly progress pictures for the Brick Gardens Friday Farm tours. Stay tuned, stay engaged and get out and grow something 🙂

Spending Earth Day with the X SQAUD. 1 more week to go with this amazing group of students. They have shown up and shown out this spring season. So proud of this group and how hard they’ve worked to help grow good nutritious food for the Evanston community.

Our favorite time of year. Madisonville Green Team returns this coming Wednesday to work with Brick Gardens. We are excited to get back into the Greenhouse and get our hands dirty. Happy Spring Growing Season. 🧑🏾‍🌾

Today our team took a visit to a few CPS schools with Agriculture programs to talk to teachers and students about what a new partnership with Brick Gardens and the District will look like in the new year. We are very excited to expand our programs throughout Cincinnati Public Schools. Stay Tuned!

Looks like our “Field of Greens “ will be ready right in time for Thanksgiving. For us this symbolizes the end of a season but the beginning of another. These greens and some other fall crops will be our last harvest of the season. Now, we rest as we step inside to plan for next season. We can’t wait to announce new partners, new projects , new neighborhoods as we expand our mission across Cincinnati. Stay tuned!
