🐱 Carrier Requirements:
For safety of the cats and clinic staff, cats must arrive in:
✔️ Plastic pet taxis with secure doors and sides
OR
✔️ Fabric carriers with secure doors and zippers
🚫 NOT ACCEPTED:
• Wire/public kennels
• Cardboard boxes
• Free-roaming cats
• “I promise they’ll sit still in my car” situations 😅

Every cat spayed or neutered means:
✨ Fewer homeless kittens
✨ Healthier community cats
✨ Less fighting and spraying
✨ A kinder, more humane community

Our ✨️Wishlist Wednesday✨️ may not sound glamorous, but it's critical: dog food!

With 60+ bellies to feed each day, our supply depletes quickly. Any size bag helps tremendously, or a few dollars toward our purchase. 🐾

We do prefer to keep everyone on the Wholesomes or Purina One kibble (lamb or fish varieties) as most of our intakes arrive underweight, suffering skin issues, or both!

Blue, the handsome Labby boy you see below, is pouting because he said to "ask for burgers!"

Chip was invited to "lunch at Nana's" with one of our team members today, & acted better than the humans! No accidents in the house, sat at the table with his best Sunday manners, & ate from his own plate. 🤎 (he's still searching for another cheesy baked potato!)

This week will be cold, with ❄️ possible starting Friday. Because the demand in our area overpowers the space available in our facility, we have a few dogs in outdoor kennels who need to move inside.

Will you invite one of our residents to hang at your house for a while? 🐾 We'll be posting a few who would be wonderful guests, & this senior stud is at the top of our list:

➡️ approximately 8 y.o.

➡️ 95 lbs

➡️ Neutered, vaccinated, dewormed

➡️ HW+ (this is not communicable to you or your pets!)

➡️ Friendly with dogs, but meet & greet required with your current canine(s)

➡️ Has a tender, affectionate spirit

➡️ Can be timid initially, so please offer snacks, patience & your best Disney voice

🐾Puppy Pads Needed🐾

The McLean County Animal Shelter is starting to run low on puppy pads, and this is one item we rely on every single day.

Puppy pads aren’t just for puppies here 🐶
They’re used:
🐾 In carriers on clinic days
🐾Overflow crates
🐾 In cat cages because they’re very absorbent and help keep our cats clean, dry, and comfortable 🐱

When we run out, our only other option is newspaper, which just doesn’t compare. It doesn’t absorb well and gets messy quick! Shelter life is already stressful enough, and we do everything we can to keep our animals as clean, dry, and happy as possible 💙

If anyone is willing to donate puppy pads, we would be so thankful. Even one pack makes a difference for the animals in our care. 🐾💙
