🚨 URGENT: Hopkins County Imagination Library Needs YOUR Voice! 🚨

We need to talk about something that could devastate early childhood literacy in Hopkins County and across the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky.
THE CRISIS WE'RE FACING:
Right now, over 52% of Kentucky's children ages 0-5 are enrolled in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, receiving FREE books every month that foster a love of reading and build the foundation for lifelong learning. This incredible program serves our Hopkins County families at a cost of just $2.60 per child per month through Kentucky's 50/50 funding model.
But here's the devastating reality: Without $2.5 million in funding secured in the 2026 Legislative Budget, this program will cease to exist in Kentucky.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR HOPKINS COUNTY:
If we lose this funding, our Hopkins County program will only be able to continue for approximately 6 MONTHS at our current enrollment numbers. That's it. Six months, and then no more books arriving in mailboxes. No more excitement when children see their name on a package. No more building home libraries for families who can't afford to buy books.
Think about the children who will lose access to books. Think about the parents who rely on this program to give their kids the same opportunities as families with more resources. Think about the kindergarten teachers who will see children arriving less prepared to learn.
