A huge thank you to Olympic gold medalist and World Champion Jack Alexy for visiting the Madison Area YMCA and sharing his journey with our Mariners, Masters, and Drew University swimmers! 🏊‍♂️🥇🇺🇸

A native of Mendham, New Jersey, Jack’s journey from a local swimmer to competing on the world’s biggest stage made his visit especially meaningful. Jack represented Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning a gold medal in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay and a silver medal in the mixed 4×100-meter freestyle relay. He has also earned multiple World Championship medals and established himself as one of the world’s premier freestyle sprinters.

During his visit, Jack shared his pathway to success and the dedication, perseverance, and hard work required to compete at the highest level. He also reflected on his early experiences with the YMCA and the positive influence the Y had on his development as a swimmer.

For our young athletes, Jack’s story was a powerful reminder that extraordinary achievements can begin right here in their own YMCA community.
