On June 4, the Madison Area YMCA proudly presented the 2026 Jake P. Mocko Memorial Scholarship to Luca Bambaci. The award was presented by Jake’s mother, Jennifer Halker, and close friend, Dominick Batchi, during a heartfelt celebration filled with love and remembrance.

This scholarship honors the life and legacy of Jake Peter Mocko, a 2022 graduate of Madison High School and a dedicated Member Services Representative at the Madison Area YMCA. Jake’s strength, perseverance, and character continue to inspire those around him.

Awarded to Madison High School graduates who have faced significant life challenges, the scholarship recognizes individuals who respond with the same resilience that defined Jake’s journey. The Jake P. Mocko Memorial Scholarship is proudly offered by the Madison Area YMCA and generous donations play a vital role in making that possible.
