The inaugural MadTown Bike Jam welcomed 120 riders from 12 states to Madison over Memorial Day Weekend, creating an estimated $100,000 economic impact for our community.

From scenic gravel roads and live music to community activities and unforgettable experiences, the event showcased the best of Madison and the surrounding countryside while bringing visitors from across the country to Lake County.

A huge thank you goes out to our Presenting Sponsor, Madison Regional Health System, as well as all of our sponsors, volunteers, community partners, food vendors, musicians, public safety personnel, local businesses, and residents who helped make this event a success. Events like this simply aren't possible without your support.

We're already looking ahead to Memorial Day Weekend 2027 and can't wait to build on the momentum from year one!

After a great deal of discussion, the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has made the difficult decision not to host the fireworks show this year.

We know this news will be disappointing for many, and it is for us as well.

For years, the fireworks show has created special memories for families and visitors alike. However, after operating at a financial loss for several years and facing continued increases in the cost of fireworks and event production, the event is no longer financially sustainable.

While this was not an easy decision, it is a necessary one. Looking ahead, we remain committed to investing our time and resources into events and initiatives that bring people together, attract visitors to Madison, support our local businesses, and strengthen our community.

We sincerely thank the sponsors, volunteers, attendees, and community members who have helped make the fireworks show possible over the years. Your support has meant a great deal, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this difficult transition.

For those looking to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks, we are currently compiling a list of public fireworks shows taking place throughout the area and will share that information as it becomes available.

Thank you for your continued support of the Chamber and our community.
