Unicef - UW-Madison

Unicef - UW-Madison University of Wisconsin-Madison Unicef campus initiative. Our goal on campus is to advocate for children in order to end all preventable child deaths.

Our projects on campus include a yearly Halloween party, movie screenings, cup nights, and volunteer work with other campus groups. In fall, our main campaign is Trick or Treat for UNICEF, with a focus on encouraging kids from local elementary schools to participate in raising money through trick or treating. We feel that this is a vital way to both promote the welfare of children around the world

and to instil a sense of involvement in Madison's youth. Our capstone project for fall is the Trick or Treat dance. Our spring campaign focuses on the UNICEF Tap Project and consists of putting donation jars in area restaurants and coffeehouses. We also host a cup night at a local restaurant and encourage guests to donate money when they order a glass of water. Throughout the year, we host a variety of events focused on advocating for children and doing everything we can to eliminate all preventable childhood deaths. Ultimately, we ask all members of the campus community to Believe in Zero.
