This hobby of ours can be fun, relaxing, strategic at times, and it can be satisfying.
But then again, you have those times where things don't exactly quite work out like you planned or even like you hoped.
When that happens, you need to remember to sit back, laugh, shake your head and say, "Well, that's not what I had in mind," fix it, and keep going.
Every one has at least one derailment, at some point in their hobby lives. Tara had her first derailment on our middle main line, when her steam engine decided to fall off the car. I'm not entirely sure if she thought it was going to stay on unsecured, or what, but here is the aftermath of the derailment on the club layout.
Fortunately, nothing was seriously damaged. Tara is new to the hobby, and was naturally embarrassed, but the club did a great job in helping her laugh about it.
