The American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women luncheon was last week, and thanks to my amazing company, Century 21 Affiliated, who sponsored the event, a group of us were able to attend. I was especially grateful to bring two of Nate’s three sisters with me.

This event is centered around heart health awareness — and these three sisters know all too well the devastating effects of heart disease. In 2010, their dad, Jeff, passed away from this disease at just 58 years old. Then in 2023, their brother Nathan was taken from us far too soon at the age of 46.

Each year, the event features someone who shares their personal story about how heart disease has impacted their life. This year, it was a young woman who suffered a heart attack at just 23 years old. Her family has also been deeply affected — her older brother lived with a heart-related illness since birth and passed away from the disease 10 years ago.

Some may call it ironic that this year’s story focused on a sister and her brother. I choose to see it as a sign that I was meant to have two of Nate’s sisters with me at this event this year.

Thank you for continuing to show us you are always with us, Nathan. ❤️

Continuing Nate’s Legacy Through Heartfelt Giving

We are proud to share that the Nate Dotzauer Foundation recently made a donation to the UW Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in support of their ongoing research in imaging to further advance early detection of heart disease.

This gift was made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who took part in this summer’s Nate Dotzauer Memorial Golf Outing! Your support helps us carry forward Nate’s spirit of connection, community and fun 🥰⛳️

We are deeply grateful to the UW team for honoring Nate’s story in their recent article and for their dedication to improving heart health for so many.

Together, we’re turning loss into love — and making a lasting impact in Nate’s honor.

Last Saturday we got to see Nate’s block on the donor wall at the grand opening of the newly renovated McFarland Ice Arena. Standing there, surrounded by so many memories and the people who helped make this place what it is, was incredibly emotional. ❤️

Nate loved the McFarland hockey community — as a coach, a spectator, an old-man-league player 😂 and most important, proudly being Korben’s biggest fan 🥰. Seeing his name on that wall felt like a piece of him will always be part of the rink and he’ll be there forever cheering on the home team.

We’re so grateful to everyone who supported the MCIA project and helped keep this space thriving for future players and families. It’s more than just a rink—it’s a place filled with heart, laughter, and lasting memories. 💙🏒

Over 70 scholarships were handed out — so inspiring to see! And it meant the world to us that Chaston received the Nate Dotzauer Memorial Scholarship for wrestling 💙

Big congrats to:
