Toastmasters is a place where you develop and grow - both personally and professionally. You join a community of learners, and in Toastmasters meetings we learn by doing. Whether you're an executive or a stay-at-home parent, a college student or a retiree, you will improve yourself; building skills to express yourself in a variety of situations. You'll open up a world of new possibilities: giving

better work presentations; leading meetings - and participating in them - more confidently; speaking more smoothly off the cuff; even handling one-on-one interactions with family, friends and colleagues more positively. The Expressions Club is a lively, fun, and diverse group that provides a non-judgmental and supportive atmosphere in which to build your skills.

In your career, how you communicate often matters as much as what you know.

The good news? Communicating is a skill—and like any skill, it can be developed with intentional practice.

That’s where environments like Toastmasters make the difference. You don’t just learn to speak—you learn to think, lead, and show up differently.

In Toastmasters we all work together to build our vocabularies, speaking skills, confidence, leadership and character. We'd love to have you join us as a guest!

If you are a person who loves words, and actually gets excited about them—then you'll love the “Word of the Day” feature that is part of every Toastmasters meeting!

The Word of the Day is a chance for all of us to expand our working vocabularies. Regular attendance in Toastmasters—listening to people’s speeches, and paying attention to the Word of the Day—can add many new words to your working vocabulary over time.

We all work together to build our vocabularies, speaking skills, confidence, leadership and character. Like and follow to see what happens at our weekly meetings!

The ability to present sales pitches and proposals effectively can open the door to professional opportunities.

To organize ideas into an effective sales pitch or proposal:

* Give the audience the most important information in the first few sentences (how much money might be saved, how lives might be improved, etc.).
* Support claims with logic and evidence.
* End every sales pitch or proposal with a call to action.
* Use high-quality yet simple visual aids, such as charts or slides, to help clarify any sales pitch or proposal.

Offer a question-and-answer period:

* Anticipate possible questions by rehearsing with colleagues or friends.
* Provide answers that support the sales pitch or proposal.
* Disarm loaded questions (those based on false premises or irrelevant assumptions) by being polite and asking the questioner to further explain his or her question.
* Divide complicated questions into several parts before answering them.
