💡 $3,000 → $600,000+ in revolving loans. That's the power of microfinance done right.

Our founder Tom Eggert sat down with the Grow Healthy, Help People podcast to share how WorldWise Microfinance is changing lives across six countries — for less than the cost of a dinner.

No massive grants. No short-term aid. Just sustainable, dignified support that empowers local entrepreneurs — especially women — to take control of their own futures.

Most microfinance organizations focus on huge loans or short-term aid — but Tom Eggert's WorldWise Microfinance is flipping the script. Starting with just $3...

Partner Spotlight - Nsimbi Impact

Talent and determination were never lacking — it was access to capital that held women back.

Meet Nsimbi Impact, a data-driven, female-led investment platform transforming financial access for women entrepreneurs across Sub-Saharan Africa — starting in Uganda.

Born from over a decade of work at Women in Technology Uganda (WITU) and Hive Colab, Nsimbi operates two catalytic funds: a Micro Business Fund for flexible, collateral-free loans, and an SME Growth Fund for patient capital and strategic support.

Every entrepreneur receives ongoing mentorship, multilingual digital tools, and financial literacy training. Because dignity starts with access. 🌍

Did you know that 1.4 billion adults worldwide still don't have access to a basic bank account?

Microfinance is changing that — one small loan at a time.

At WorldWise Microfinance, we believe access to financial tools is a human right, not a privilege. This month, we're sharing why it matters, how it works, and the real people whose lives it transforms.

What is the Grameen Bank model — and why do we use it? 🌍
In the 1970s, economist Muhammad Yunus lent $27 of his own money to 42 villagers in Bangladesh who had been shut out of the financial system. Every cent was paid back.
From that simple act, the Grameen Bank was born — a model built on community over collateral, where small groups of borrowers support and hold each other accountable instead of needing credit scores or assets. By 2006, it had reached millions worldwide and earned Yunus the Nobel Peace Prize.
At Worldwise Microfinance, this is the foundation we build on. Because lasting change starts with trust, community, and the belief that everyone deserves a shot.

WorldWise Microfinance partners with Nsimbi Impact to support women-led microenterprises in Mbarara. Nsimbi Impact was founded by Barbara Mutabazi, an MIT grad. Their mission is to lift women out of poverty by providing loans and support services. The ultimate goal is to foster economic growth and improve the social standing of women by enabling women to build and scale their own businesses.

Nsimbi Impact uses a fintech platform to deliver unsecured, flexible loans to women entrepreneurs who are overlooked by traditional banks. (“Nsimbi” fittingly means “money” in the native language.). Nsimbi’s innovative model is turning heads in the impact finance space. The team was invited to present at a sustainable finance summit in Geneva. Our first loans were issued in early 2025. Our shared commitment to reducing barriers to financial access—such as lack of collateral, limited financial literacy, and scarce formal banking infrastructure—allows us to change the future for our loan recipients.
