Creature Comfort Pet Therapy Creature Comfort Pet Therapy embraces a hands-on approach with our therapy teams and the places we visit.

Our volunteer teams provide approximately 600 visits each month to our partner facilities. Donate - https://givebutter.com/Donate-Creature-Comfort Creature Comfort Pet Therapy differs from other organizations providing similar services in that we embrace a hands-on approach with our therapy teams and the places we visit. We work with each facility to help structure the visit to make it as effective and productive as possible. Certified therapy teams are able to choose from a variety of visits, and staff will make visit recommendations based on their interests and the energy level of their therapy animal. We have certified more than 400 pet therapy teams, including dogs, cats, rabbits, a goat, guinea pigs and a mini horse. Our volunteer teams provide approximately 300 visits each month to our partner facilities that include nursing homes, public and private schools, libraries, hospitals, children's services, hospice, mental health centers and veterans programs.

🐾💜 SMALL MOMENTS. BIG IMPACT. MEET ELLEN & TEDDY! 🐶✨

Sometimes, the greatest comfort comes from four paws, a wagging tail, and a little unconditional love. ❤️

We’re so grateful to Summit Health Cares for shining a spotlight on Creature Comfort Pet Therapy team Ellen& Teddy and the special connections they’re making with patients undergoing cancer treatment through the Cancer Comfort Project.

For more than a year, Teddy and Ellen have been visiting Summit Health each month, bringing smiles, gentle cuddles, happy kisses, and much-needed moments of joy to patients during challenging times. 🐶💕

Their story is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. Pet therapy isn’t just about a visit. It’s about providing comfort, creating connections, and offering a moment of peace when it matters most.

A heartfelt thank you to Ellen & Teddy for sharing their time and love, and to Summit Health Cares for recognizing the meaningful impact of the human-animal bond. 💜

This month, we’re proud to recognize Arden Courts of Whippany, a longtime CCPT partner our therapy teams have been visiting for more than 10 years.

Arden Courts provides specialized support for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia, and over the years, our visits have become a familiar and much-loved part of their community.

We’re especially grateful for the special connection shared by CCPT team Alice Kenny & Murphy, whose visits have brought comfort, companionship, and so many meaningful moments to residents over the years.
