🚲 Help move the Lake Madison Recreation Trail forward!

The Recreation Trail expansion is officially moving from the awareness phase into active fundraising. To make this project possible, we need to raise matching funds for future grant opportunities.

Please consider making a donation to the Recreation Trail Construction Fund or Maintenance Fund. Every contribution—large or small—helps us get closer to creating a safer connection for walking, running and biking around Lake Madison.

Join us this evening, Monday, September 28, at 6:00 PM at the Madison Public Library for the next Recreation Trail Committee meeting. Come hear the latest updates on trail expansion plans, upcoming projects, and what’s next for the Lake Madison Recreation Trail.

We’re also preparing a Transportation Alternatives Grant application due October 1 to help move the next phases of the trail forward. The application will seek funding for:
➡️ Design and engineering for the trail along the south side of Lake Madison, from Scott Pederson Memorial Park to 461st Avenue, past Smith Cove
➡️ Construction of the trail from Scott Pederson Memorial Park to Walker’s State Recreation Area

Letters of support can make a difference! If you’re willing to submit one, please email your letter to [email protected].

You can also support the project by contributing to the LMDA Recreation Trail Construction Fund or Recreation Trail Maintenance Fund through the Recreation Trail section of the LMDA website.
