If you are a GHC member and haven't voted yet, you can still do so in person tonight!

GHC members -- Annual Meeting is TONIGHT at 6pm, Thursday 6/25 at the Alliant Energy Center. Remember to bring a photo ID and your membership card. We need every member’s support to keep pro-union pressure on the GHC Board, as well as pass motions that ensure our right to attend all meetings without Board interference, and to elect our leaders without the Board’s preapproval.

The Juneteenth holiday, also called Freedom Day or Jubilee Day, falls on June 19th. This year, the parade and celebration will be held on Saturday, June 20th, 2026. The Juneteenth Parade starts at the Madison Labor Temple, 1602 S. Park Street, and goes to Penn Park, 2101 Fisher Street. SCFL will be participating, and we encourage you to join us. The Juneteenth Celebration continues with live entertainment, food, speakers, and family activities.

Staging for the Juneteenth Parade - 10:00am; parade kicks off - 11:00am.

Celebration at Penn Park - 12:00pm.

Street Closures during the parade: South Park Street will be closed from W. Badger Road to W. Wingra Drive between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Streets immediately surrounding Penn Park will remain closed until 6:00 p.m. Expect rolling detours and check City of Madison Metro Transit for bus route detours.
